2022-12-01 18:42:37 +0000 UTCThe way I've heard the sexism thing explained is that women's place is the kitchen until it's time to get paid for it. AKA only men are allowed to be successful from cooking, even if it's apparently a "feminine" skill. There's also the bias that home cooking is "lesser" than professional cooking, thus further belittling housewives or any woman who's also a home cook.
