Oh woah!! That's a crazy storyline! I wish they had time to touch on that!

The last episode & movie doesn't touch on Inara so her storyline doesn't get revealed. Showrunners for the show said she left "the house" because she found out she had a terminal disease. She preferred to go through that away from the people close to her, so she left to be alone. The real reason she has tried keeping her distance from Mal (not letting him say what he was going to say) and now leaving Serenity "should have done a long while ago" is she's gotten close with these people.

π€£ nice twist on the phrase!
Ya... I almost uploaded the whole thing and then I decided maybe you guys didn't need to hear ALL of my thoughts. π€£
To be totally honest, it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. At least it doesn't glamorize sex work like the rest of the show does. For better or worse, it shows some of the dangers and risks and downsides unlike the rest of the show. So that's good. And it was really good to see that Inara truly does have feelings for Mal, and on some level she knows what she is doing matters. I'm really bummed she decided that meant she has to leave instead of considering maybe her job doesn't make her as happy as she says it does. I would love to see her and Mal end up together and for her to choose a life that doesn't involve selling her body in the most intimate way possible! She deserves so much more. She deserves a relationship with a man she loves - if she wants it. And it would seem that she does whether she wants to admit it or not!
I'm very very excited for the final episode and then the movie! I'll keep in mind that she's a ballerina!!

π€£ You left out 10 minutes of rants!!! Why? We love us a good rant... I did kinda notice the eyerolls, the grimaces, the frowns and the silent snarls as you mentally screamed in anguish. Great stuff!
The thumbnail says it all! π« Me thinks this might not be your favorite episode. (Possibly the understatement of the millennium.) Kelsea having her nails pulled would be infinitely more enjoyable.
Anyway. I have no comment, other than to assure you things get better, and the movie length last ep is the bomb.
The warm and fuzzy highlight was of course Jane's lack of a filter. Kelsea's similar endearment is also fun to watch. π₯°π₯°
BTW, we are moving towards the River centric episodes, so, I might reveal that Summer Glau was, and still is, a professional ballerina. I mentioned in my "Man from UNCLE" rant that Alicia Vikander is also a ballerina. I must have a penchant for ballerinas. π
Stay tuned, same ballerina time, same ballerina channel.
