I loved that line from Mal so much! 🤣 It was so oddly adorable! 😂
Women can definitely be dangerous temptations. 😂
Oh really?? I'll have to watch that scene again and look out for his swagger lol! I like that interpretation better!!!

A wise man once said; "If someone tries to kill you, you try to kill them back. You got the same rights, to live and try to kill people." 😂
I loved the analogy between this ep and the Greek mythology of the siren. In Greek mythology, sirens are humanlike beings with alluring voices. They appear in a scene in the Odyssey in which Captain Odysseus (Mal) saves his crew's lives by ordering them to block their ears with wax and tie him to the mast. In both cases the crew saves the ship and all lives aboard, including their Captain's. Sirens continued to be used as a symbol for the dangerous temptation embodied by women throughout the medieval era.
BTW, IMHO, Mal knew exactly what Inara did. He was just playing with her head. The swagger in his step says he was teasing her. Our Captain is not stupid. These two lovebirds are hilarious.
Great reaction Kelsea. C U next ep. Cheers.

Yeah! Kelsea meets one of the 'favorite' guest characters of the series. Christina Hendricks' Saffron, is definitely a beloved part of the Firefly lore and 'Our Mrs. Reynolds' is definitely an episode that many browncoats single out as a fav.
Even as it's a Mal-centered episode, the crew's relationships get revealed here a great deal. For me, Inara and Shepard Book are stand outs.
Kelsea's empathy really shows as she so deeply sides with Saffron's plight, until... we really get to know our little vixen. And your final call of Saffron's own 'Good Night Kiss' experience and Mal's "Dummy-McDumberson misread on Inara, were great!
I was surprised you recognized Christina Hendricks from 'Good Girls' when she was such a big star in 'Mad Men'.
Finally, I don't yo, but even as evil as Saffron was, somehow we all want her to be a bridge to... something!
