2023-08-15 04:05:43 +0000 UTCi know im late on this but Charlie was basically Paimon from the very beginning, when Annie talks about her mom putting her hooks in her is inferred as the the time when Paimon took over her body as a very young child, little fun fact is that the clucking noise charlie makes and eventually peter at the very end is actually Paimon trying to speak as in theology Paimon is basically a bird-demon. The grandma was never possessed but she was somehow anointed as Paimons queen so her whole life was revolving around finding a male host for her "king". When i first saw this the ending kind of jarred me with how crazy it was but when you consider the fact that this cult has been trying to find a host and set up all the events in this movie just so Peter can be possessed really makes the ending better for me. I could go on and on about the small details in the movie but damn is it a horror masterpiece, theres SO MUCH to disect
