The hugging scene reminded me of that scene in thirteen we were talking about! How Mrs S just hugs her and doesn't let go until her anger fades and she gives in to the love. Ya Cosima failed so hard. πŸ’€

When Sarah calls mrs S mum I cry 😭 she rarely calls her that and it shows so much growth from season 1. Also Helena finally accepting mrs S and Sarah’s apologies!! Love the twins I love any time Cosima has to be another clone bc she’s so bad at it lol

Oh that's weird!! Alison's mom was hard to watch for an hour I can't imagine being raised by that monster!! Definitely gives some insight into Alison!! That hug with Helena and Mrs S was so perfect. And it made me so emotional because it's a very specific emotional scene - a daughter figure exploding in anger and a mother figure embracing them and refusing to let go until the anger turns to something else. That kind of scene was even in Everything Everywhere All At Once for example. But that very specific scene has been in some very emotional movies that I've seen in my life so to see it played out with these two was everything. It really felt like that was the moment Mrs S became a mother figure to Helena. That was the first time Helena has been treated like a daughter in a very real and raw way and ugh it was everything. Oh and ya, I wasn't thinking I guess cause you're right, Rachel has a decent amount of leverage right now!

Hi Kelsea. Sorry I'm late, but somehow I missed the notification. ?? Busy doing whatever else. So, in this ep we meet Cos's mom. What a piece of work she is! I think this explains the nature v nurture premise that OB has at its core. No wonder Alison is super OCD and scatterbrained and skittish. With a mom like hers it's a wonder she isn't in a mental institute blowing bubbles. (pun intended) I loved the clone swap, and Alisons speech about family and inclusion, mixed with Sarah and S's talk, was both poignant and perfect. S embracing Helena, and holding her tight, made me tear up, especially because of what we learn later concerning H's background. That hug changes Helena forever. Cos does not trust DIAD, and by association, Delphine. She has Duncan's 's book, and believes the cure lies within the secret language that only Rachael knows. This gives Rachel her power back. Once again, I thoroughly enjoyed your reaction and the honest heartfelt commentary.
