DISCORD??

Hey my loves! To discord or not to discord? That is the question!

I've thought about making a discord server for my Patrons so we can communicate easier, especially as we grow and dive into new shows and stuff! But I'm not sure if that would actually be something you guys would use or if it would just be ANOTHER platform to keep track of! Let me know what you think!

The only real selling point I can see at this point is that the community chat features are better there than they are here on Patreon. The discord channel would basically be a glorified chat room for all of the patrons to discuss and engage easier. It would give you guys the ability to actually post stuff and engage with each other without having to be within the comments of an actual video if that makes sense. It just makes it more of a "book club" style community versus here where all the posts come from me and you guys only can engage within those posts or by privately messaging me. I totally understand not wanting to even bother for those who don't already use discord, but it's probably something I'll end up doing EVENTUALLY either way for those who want it, so I'm just checking in trying to gauge if we're at that point or if there's still not enough people who are interested. But ya, it wouldn't really be it's own thing in the same way a twitch would be, it would just be a chat community for the Patreon family.

I use Discord occasionally, but voted no as it just waters down all the contacts. You'll find yourself doing Twitch next, Kelsea !! Whilst there's the opportunity to attract extra folks with multiple Social Media contact points, you'll get folks like me who just don't want all the different Social Media platforms, a couple is fine and leave it at that. Admittedly each one has its own USP but unless you have multiple thousands of followers I just cannot see the point. You have to ask what features does it bring to the table that cannot be done elsewhere. Just my two penn'orth (2 cents to those of you in USA) :)
