Avialae : Ch 6 : Pg 11

Gannet speaks for me here, which explains why I will never cover the Magic Rules in detail because they are Very Boring. :)

It’s both plural and singular, like “moose” or “deer” bc this is a fantasy world no rules just right. It’s a term merely inspired by the taxonomical term but it means something different when used in this fictional world referring to these fictional bird people.

I mean, I doubt they'd call each other winged-person or some other similar terms, considering that, to them, they're the *normal* ones and humans are different, so it'd be a matter of figuring out what they'd call themselves. but aviala/avialus/avialum seems like i'd work pretty well. I mean, all speculation aside, it's really up to Lucid

Why does Gannet have such flimsy-thin arms on this page? Wasn't he working out? He is not going to slim already with all the sorrow?

The form of the head points clearly to a "real" bird, hence my question about Morrigan. Though, to quote Nat: "He knows we are not birds?", so they see themselves not as birds (as opposed to "real" birds). Since ever I ask myself what the singular form of "Avialae" is, since it is obviously plural, like all taxonomical terms (like "Felidae", "Canidae", "Aves" or "Mammalia"). As such there actually is no singular. An individual member of the "Felidae" is usually not called a Felida, which would be the singular (latin a-declination, generic femininum). So maybe it would be possible to call a single member of the Avialae - in respect to gender - aviala (fem.), avialus (masc.) or avialum (neutr.), but since that is not the custom with such designations, one would probably call them "winged woman, man, person" or the like. Any ideas or suggestions?

Is...Is that a real bird on the last panel? or an Avialae

Mango

Oh, is that Morrigan in the last panel?
