It is unusual that Everett did not get the Avialae's history down in that notebook, since he learned enough to find out why Gannet's mom was cast out. Maybe she didn't want to talk about it? Maybe it's in another notebook somewhere, along with some info on Gannet's dad? Maybe it's in that cabin Everett and his ex were staying at? I can't wait to see where they will find the answers to these questions!
