"Ariel" is an episode in which everything should have gone perfectly if it wasn't for a member of the crew that can't be trusted.
And "War Stories" is hard to watch at one point, I really suffered for the crew 😭

War Stories and Out of Gas are my two favorites. I loved the way Mal distracted and protected Wash once it became clear all Wash was gonna do was panic (understandably). I also love the end where there is the sweetness Zoe is showing Wash after what he went through and did... and a moment later juxtaposed with her and Mal messing with him. Comparing from the first episode all through til the ending of this one I felt this really was the first episode Wash came to be more firmly crew and definitely more bonded/cohesive in functioning with Mal and Zoe... to me he always did feel a part of the crew but kinda on the outside; This experience/episode was a lot of personal and interpersonal development, imo.
