My favorite Christmas movies are Home Alone, The Polar Express and How the Grinch stole Christmas (2000).

2021-12-08 01:34:54 +0000 UTCYou reacted to "Die Hard" last year; how about "Die Hard 2" this year? (Yes, it also takes place around Christmas.) But only if you also watch the third one not too long afterward (it *doesn't* take place around Christmas). The first "Lethal Weapon" movie also takes place around Christmas, and then there's also "Gremlins" ("Trading Places" and "Ghostbusters 2" also more or less take place during the holidays -- both movies culminating around New Year's) and more 'traditional' Christmas movies, such as "A Christmas Story," "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation," "Scrooged," "It's a Wonderful Life," "Miracle on 34th Street," and any number of adaptations of "A Christmas Carol."
