Full Reaction to "300"

thank you just finished watching it. the eyepatch guy was from the Lord of the Rings movies playing Faramir the brother of Boromir and son of the steward of gondor. great reaction. interesting to think what a different world we would live in if the greeks had not driven the persians out of europe.

Thank you for the effort. To be honest it is still a little bit faster but, I found it watchable with just a little bit of work, maybe 96% is best going forward. Didn't think this movie would get to you so much. I personally never found 300 to be a emotional movie, a visual spectacle with some awesome lines, but not a "deep" movie. Still awesome reaction as always. One of the best things about 300 is that some lines are historical, the context maybe be diffrent but Spartans where know for there sharp tounge. The line about only "Spartan Woman giving birth to real men" as an example.

Really wasn't sure how you'd take this movie - very entertaining reaction! You're right, the history is a bit far from this movie, but the story works best if you imagine this is the one-eyed guy telling an inspiring tale to rally the soldiers. Speaking of which, that actor played as Faramir in The Lord of the Rings. The poor Arcadians get a bit ignored, so that's why you were always missing them XD. One thing that is true to history is that a lot of the quotes said by the Spartans are actually recorded. The region they come from is called Laconia, and in English sometimes we will say someone has a "Laconic" wit. This movie made the director pretty famous for his very dramatic style (like the colours you called out). He went on to direct the DC movies (Man of Steel, Batman Vs Superman etc) which I do hope you watch at some point - he does make some beautiful shots!
