Halloween 1/2 [Deadline: 29th of September]
Added 2021-09-25 20:30:26 +0000 UTCHey dear patrons,
Welcome to a special poll! This one is so we can watch some good horror movies during the month of October since Halloween is just around the corner π

This poll is also special because it's divided into 2 since there have been so many options given on the YouTube Community post. I have also included those from previous polls, YouTube comments, Discord, and sometimes my own interests π
The 2 most voted movies from each poll are the next ones to watch. You can vote for as many movies as you want.
The poll is enabled until Wednesday, 29th of September at 12:00 p.m. CET (06:00 a.m. EST / 3:00 a.m. PST)
Any other movie you'd like to recommend for future polls please leave a comment. Here is my watchlist: https://boxd.it/cWB9a . If your movie is already there, there is no need to write it down again for it will appear in future polls.
Soon I will also upload the poll that'll contain War movies in alphabetical order, just as I mentioned in the previous poll
Thank you so much for voting and stay safe! π

It was the first major naval battle that the USA decisively won. The Battle of Coral Sea was sort of a draw. Midway was the turning point of the war as the Japanese navy never recovered and were mostly on the defensive thereafter. Luck and timing played as much a factor as strategy did. And code breaking. What was really sad is that the Japanese government kept the loss a big secret and didn't even tell the families of those killed. Many didn't find out until after Japan surrendered. - Chris P.S.: I would like to recommend Montemayor's channel on YouTube as he does an excellent 3 part analysis of the battle from both the American and Japanese perspective. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCX7katl3DVmch4D7LSvqbVQ

2021-09-29 12:06:45 +0000 UTCOh, it's not. having seen both, I actually think the '76 version is more akin to Pearl Harbor, with the romance sub-plot between fictional characters. Another war movie I just recalled is Memphis Belle.

2021-09-27 17:20:11 +0000 UTCMaybe one day I'll check it out. So long as it's not another Pearl Harbor POS. β« I miss you more than Michael Bay missed the mark when he made Pearl Harbor - I miss you more than that movie missed the point, and that's an awful lot, girl β« - Team America: World Police

2021-09-26 16:54:39 +0000 UTCI guess I'm more of a 60's and 70's war movie guy as the ones from those decades were the one ones I grew up with watching them with my dad on a local UHF station in the pre-cable days.

2021-09-26 15:17:50 +0000 UTCAs long as "Apocalypse Now," "The Deer Hunter," "Full Metal Jacket," "Hacksaw Ridge," and "1917" are also included, it's all good. I'd also add "The Big Red 1" (1980) -- my favorite WWII movie. Mark Hamill (aka Luke Skywalker) is one of its cast members. Just make sure you watch the 'restoration' cut.

2021-09-26 00:40:05 +0000 UTCOf course! Thank you for the recommendations :)
2021-09-26 00:24:55 +0000 UTCAre you still taking requests to add to the upcoming War movies poll? If so I'd like to suggest a few of my favorites that are classics and historical. "Tora! Tora! Tora!" (1970) - The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor as told from both sides. "Midway" (1976) The battle of Midway, also told from both sides. "A Bridge Too Far" (1977) - My favorite. Epic! "Patton" (1970) - The Man, the General, the Legend, George S Patton.
