Blade Runner presents a society where technology breaks the wall that separates humans from robots. The Tyrell Corporation builds machines capable of developing consciousness.
The purpose? Enslave them. Is it necessary?
According to the plot: "Tyrell creates Replicants to work for them in fear, pain, and exhaustion. They have no right since they're just machines. Scientists will test and improve them over and over again until no human can tell the difference".
Is it weird that I somehow felt empathy for the Replicants?

Ridley Scott has said that with THAT scene they were aiming for "Rachel wants it, but it's her first time, so she got nervous", but that he could see how it could be seen as Deckard forcing her from the way they shot it. I used to bite my nails, too. Stopped when I finally found a job that didn't stress me out. Yes, when Roy's hand was balling into a fist it was because he was getting close to dying of old age. He stuck the nail through his hand to give himself an adrenaline rush so he could finish with Deckard before the end. Rutger Hauer also seriously modified that final speech about what he's seen from what was in the script, for the better in the opinion of most.
