And remember, when Steve went against the government, he gave up the shield. And you're right, she is very young. Her actress is only in her early twenties. Probably why she's doing this, she's basically a kid who's trying to fight a war but doesn't really know how. She goes for these big showy actions, but doesn't take into account the finer points of strategy.

2021-08-07 02:27:04 +0000 UTCWhere is SHIELD? They don't exist anymore - Steve Rogers and Nick Fury disbanded SHIELD entirely to get rid of the HYDRA influence. Where are the other Avengers? Well we don't know what's going on with them all right now - but let's see: Tony and Natasha are dead. Wanda (and Vision) are busy being a sitcom couple. Thor has headed into space with the Guardians of the Galaxy. Banner never really worried about anything like that. Spiderman has his own problems (Far From Home). Nick Fury is off in space having a holiday. Carol Danvers is likely off in space as well - I guess we'll find out what she was up to. Hawkeye's probably spending time with his kids - but we'll find out in his show. Dr Strange is likely dealing with the problems that Loki has had something to do with - and we'll see that in his next movie. There's obviously several others... but the point is there's not really a lot of "Avengers" left, and certainly they seem pretty busy with their own stuff. Hopefully there's a mention in the other films/shows about what happens here. Why doesn't the US government work together? Oh, Duaffy :D That question is too damn real. A functional US government is probably a little too unrealistic, even for comic book shows!
