Dollhouse - 2x13 "Epitaph Two: Return" FULL REACTION

Joss wrote 2 books for the Doll house, called into the Doll house. Please look them up, they explain what's not, in the series. It's just more of the show. β€οΈπŸ‘οΈβœ¨

I remember watching this ten years ago, and being fully triggered throughout. It hit me so hard, I just kept bursting into tears. It was a very odd experience, but a good one. I appreciate how understated the episode is. It's a few moments of action slotted into an otherwise quiet, as you say bittersweet, finale. There are so many wonderful little character beats that resonate with me to this day. And I'll just say, Eliza Dushku's performancewas wonderful. Her outburst with Sierra is, I think, her best work on the show. What a powerful moment that was.

I cry every time I see Topher in his last moments of the show. Him and Adele’s bond/dynamic at this point =πŸ’ž I would have loved to see more of the little commune they created in Arizona, what they did over the years. How Tony became Tony. That really would have been something. I do believe there are comics that take place I believe in that take place between epitaph 1 and 2, though. I’m a little confused on how Paul being in her head works.. how those amalgam of personalities work in general. I feel like how they explained it in the past is quite vague. In any case, his death hit me surprisingly harder than I thought it would. I didn’t dislike him but I don’t think I ever considered him to be one of my favorites. I do wonder about him developing love for her again, how that worked/came about.. because it seemed to me he did again. ..and I’m curious to why exactly she kept a distance from him. The endings for everyone essentially bitter sweet and/or hopeful. I love the episode. It definitely made me blubber. I don’t know if you know of this, but there is a new Whedon show poised to come out next year on HBO, called The Nevers, with one of our Dollhouse alumni, Olivia Williams. ..God, she’s been in multiple amazing shows I love that have been canceled. It’s like a curse with her. This. Manhattan, Counterpart. It seems she can’t catch a break with that. Definitely one of my favorite actresses of all time. Anyhow, it would be really nice to see you react to that. πŸ’•

Really enjoyed sharing your journey through this. It's a really good show, that came before it's time; I think it's the kind of show that could have thrived in this era of streaming services, but it is what it is. Now it's time for your treatment, and then react to it again XD
