Angel - 3x18 “Double or Nothing” FULL REACTION

"GP"? What does Gwyneth Paltrow have to do with this? Or did you mean "general practitioner"? This might be a good time to mention that sometimes I'm an incorrigible wiseass.

UTU49

You mocking the accent is gold lmao

Eliza

and, I don't love pain, but I do love ache and sorrow

AND, when you forgive someone, you don't do it for them, you do it for yourself. It is a gift to you.

Mark Judge

Fair? nah.. unfair and ignorant. Not of you, but of Angel. Most people know that when you hold on to anger, revenge, hate, you are only hurting yourselves and the ones you love, carrying around a bag of poison and depositing little pieces of it wherever you go.

The cockney accent is one that is difficult to get right, and a lot of actors, including British born actors, tend to slip into stereotypical parody. Now if they'd played Jason Carter's cockney accent for the parody angle I think it would've worked a lot better, but they didn't so I personally find it a bit jarring to listen to myself as well. Then again it could've been a stylistic choice by the actor himself, or he was directed to go full cockney and the result was, well, very stereotyped.

I do not like Fred/Gunn as a couple so this is not a favorite of mine but as always great reaction Liam thank you.

This is admittedly a breather/filler episode but I feel like maybe the show needed it. While it’s not a great episode overall there are parts I like a lot. Cordelia just being there for Angel, the Fred/Wesley stuff, Gru. The Gunn stuff is hit and miss. The story doesn’t totally come together and the ending of it seems to not make a lot of sense. Overall though I do like Fred and Gunn as a couple. I love that she knew something was wrong because he broke up with her. She didn’t just accept it. I’ve aways maintained though that if Gunn was going to sell his car for a truck it should at least be a nicer truck. Lol. On a personal note I have a little bit of an affinity for this episode because I was the guest on the Redemptioncast episode for this one and had a lot of fun doing that.

Follow the guide: http://slayalive.com/showthread.php/3924-The-Buffy-Angel-watching-guide Based on the guide, the next episode will be Buffy.

Rainmaker203

When will you be continuing Buffy?

One of the very few moments that I like in 3-3, “That Old Gang Of Mine” is when Wes admonishes Gunn for keeping secrets from the group, warning that to do so again would lead to being dismissed and out of a job. Poor Fred finally wraps her head around Wes lying to protect Connor (and nearly getting himself killed) only to have Gunn lying to protect her (and nearly getting himself killed). If they want to continue to be known as “the good guys,” the AI team needs to up their honesty quotient. I think GP fits well with Gunn's view of things from 7 years earlier.

I love that Cordelia just sits with him. <3

Jeez, you murdered poor Jason Carter's accent in this one. I suppose being Brittish you notice the different accents much more than a midwestern American such as I. And he did alter it a bit from his normal acting accent. A 20 sec example. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03bOrvlAyeQ

It always has been a bad choice, even when it first aired. They couldn't play ANY other hip hop song from that time period? Really???

Yesmydog

I love Fred and Gunn together, they're a little corny at times but I love it.

homoerotic 80s volleyball scene personified

It's most definitely not a good song choice imo

Chosen One Reactions

Sure. After celebrating the Zack Snyder Cut coming next spring all weekend. I could go for some Angel
