ha! I just saw that you did a OUaT reaction called Unforgiven-

To me that ending is one of the most upsetting things I've ever seen.
When Justine slits Wesley's throat, everybody naturally wonders if he is going to die. Then we get to the end of this episode... and I think to myself, "This whole situation would have been LESS painful if Wesley HAD died."

You can accuse Wesley of being extremely stupid... but you CANNOT accuse him of being malevolent.
Why do so many people seem to see this as Wesley doing something malevolent?

I learned from interviews and books of WB showrunners and producers that they had little/no control over the advertising or marketing of the show. They would edit the promos for each episodes independently from the showrunners. Sometimes they'd get it right and it would accurately reflect the tone and plot of that episode, and other times it was like they were on crack and would either flat out give away major plot points (like they did here with Angel attacking Wes) or completely try and throw off the viewer by re-editing and presenting a moment in an episode as something major, when really it was nothing. I truly believe most of these editors moved on to a long and successful career in creating reality shows.

Funny, as far as forgiveness goes, I think Wesley has more of a right to not forgive Angel than Angel does of not forgiving Wesley. If it was me, I would forgive Angel, but I would never forget and never trust him-

Lol and Justine's a "glutton for punishment." Nobody in their right mind would consider "getting stabbed with a nail on their hand" happy memories from their abuser. Holtz, the abusive father, she's always wanted.

As Holland Manners (and Beige Angel) once said "And yet... I just can't seem to care."

Angel to the Team: He took my son!
The Team: Yeah but he thought that was the Prophecy.
Angel to the Team: He still took my son!
Lorne: You need to forgive...
Angel: He. Took. My. Son. 🤦♀️
Gosh people, get a clue! Had he not done that, Connor would not be in hell. By the time he gets back, he's gonna be experiencing... well, as Anya once said "Jetlag from hell's gotta be... jetlag from hell" 😑

Could anyone hint how to get new lines with Patreon comments? As even writing the comment elsewhere and copying it here loses the new lines. Patreon as a concept is great, but the site is the worst site I have come up to, at least in the last decade. Just this page has like 300.000 digits of code, the worst bloated frameworks of all time. And still not even working comment section, nor any reply from tech support on logins always forcing me to activate the account through email. I asked 4 times, each time I waited a over a month, and no answer. I quit the whole site, but I had to come back because of our man Liam Duke getting in Buffy season 6 and Angel season 3. Sorry about this rant, but as a developer and IT entrepreneur I can't stand this site.

We don't need babies in this universe anyways, we need bad azz Slayers and rogue demon hunters and soulful vampires, and smart trios to kick some vamp blood suckers I mean what's a baby gonna do run off a pillar stone wall and back kick evil minions... 😐 no that's a Slayer chosen duty. My point is Angel get over and focus on the apocalypse.

It's ambiguous but it seems like someone maybe died in that car accident. And Angel realizing that it's *his* fault, not that guy's or even Sahjhan's. Maybe this would have been too dark even for this show, but he could have accidentally killed someone's kid.
I didn't use to think so for some reason, but it makes a lot of sense for Wolfram & Hart to help Angel in this situation. The White Room or whatever probably doesn't care too too much about Lindwood, but helping Angel perform dark magics to bring a formidable rampaging demon into existence is kinda their top goal: bringing Angel to the dark side. Angel killing Lindwood would also accomplish that tbh

Killing for revenge leaves everybody dead. Though it's really understandable, and probably losing your child is the worst possible thing. "Of course you try to kill the man that cost you your son", that's pretty inaccurate as most people are not capable of killing anyone even on that situation. Killing to get back your son, or protect someone from hurting him is another story. But killing just for revenge is pretty rare, no matter what the situation. Maybe if it was someone higher up, corrupted government member or police, that did the killing, and who is also getting away with murder. Well, then it certainly is much more common. Here Wesley would face pretty horrible charges if they would press them, and would go to jail for a long long time. And while it doesn't help Angel at all, the thing that Wesley did this for saving his child, is still going to effect the situation. Couple of things I didn't like about this episode. One being faking that Wesley is dead. They showed him being unconscious with eyes open. That doesn't happen, as he would go blind in couple of minutes with eyes open. And the fakery of Angel forgiving Wesley. That scene was unrealistic from the start, and if Angel really tried to kill Wesley, all the nurses in the hospital would not budge him from that situation. Other than that, amazing episode.

It's almost like you were prepared for this eventuality but not the brutality. So close! This show is incredibly good at its darker plot twists.

After Sleep Tight, about a month passed before this episode originally aired. Imagine having to wait a month after THAT cliffhanger. A few days before Forgiving aired, the WB released a promotional photo from the episode. It was a shot of the hospital orderlies trying to pull Angel off of Wesley. Way to spoil the episode, WB! So glad you got to see the episode unspoiled.

See that's odd to me, I'm in Australia which has notoriously bad internet (I'm on a lightning fast speed of 8mbit on a good day) and I very rarely have issues with drop box. I think in all the time I've been a patreon of Liam's I've only had less than a handful of episodes that I've had major issues watching. I'm actually wondering why that is, because maybe it will help others to know. Anyone got any ideas?

He was right. I like Wesley overall as a character, but on this issue and in this moment... yes, kill him Angel. Go back in your head to "Tough Love" in S5 of "Buffy" and you have much the same ludicrous premise with Gunn and Fred thinking that Angel will just... understand. Spike pointing out to Buffy the fallacy of trying to talk Willow down: "until you, what? Explained?" *Of course* you try to kill the man that cost you your son.
EDIT: And yes, he was going to kill Lilah without a moment's pause or regret.

DropBox sucks. I have 300mbit connection and still the video is unwatchable as DropBox cannot send the required 11mbit/s reliably. And for some reason it stays in the buffering mode for so long that it just trashes the enjoyment. Dropbox has always been crap with high bitrate video :(

I will watch this reaction later but I cannot wait to see your reaction to one of the shocking endings in the show's history yet one of David's best performances. Angel made sure Wes knows that it's HIM speaking and not Angelus was just scary, and you just know that Angel and Wes friendship will forever be changed from here on out.
