Angel - 2x10 “Reunion” FULL REACTION

The little song that Dru sings to Darla in the nursery is the same song she sings to the little boy left at the park in the beginning of the Buffy episode Lie to Me.

I think once Dru was part of the family Darla did like her, but probably got annoyed with her a lot lol. Spike seemed to be the only one who could put up with her madness and psychic-ness for more than a few years at a time. I think in her own way, flash-back/old school Darla loved her vampire family as much as a vampire like her could love anyone... she was always selfish and in it for herself, but I think in good times she liked them around in small doses lol

I adore this episode from start to finish...gah! that ending! amazing. Angelus and Angel.. one being... always. He killed with a soul before, he left those hotel people to the demon, he has done plenty of bad, and very little good up til what, 5 or 6 years ago? I love seeing Angel with a soul blurring the lines. A soul doesn't magically make him good, or a new man. it just gives him giult, shame and a conscious... more of a choice between good and evil, more control over his demon side and a bigger push towards his human side. :D Darla and Dru... epic.

Both were such awesome endings, I wish they had spread them over two episodes. The first could have ended with Angel barring the wine cellar door and walking away. Then the next episode could have been almost entirely flashback, but at the very end coming back to the present day, with Angel in front of Corey, Wesley and Gun and giving us the last few minutes with him firing them.

It is an enigmatic expression. I can't tell what he's feeling. Maybe he's hoping Darla will turn him, which would the ultimate FU to Angel.

“And yet, somehow, I just can't seem to care. ” I couldn't believe it the first time I saw it, but it is the best kind of twist because when it happens, you're like, "Well, of course." They’ve been building towards this since at least “Blind Date,” when Angel was furious that he couldn’t beat W&H by playing by the rules. They foreshadowed it with AYNOHYEB and ever since with Angel fighting his darkness and ignoring the mission. There is also a parallel with both Angel and Darla snapping from W&H using them all season, and they both respond with a massacre. The episode could have ended with that shocking cliffhanger, but then we get the scene of Angel firing everyone. This was the fall finale, so they gave us more things to be angsty about: what’s going to happen with Cordy, Wesley, and Gunn? Fantastic episode -- one of the series' best.

Did you see the look on Lindsey's face after he realizes that Angel will not save them? I'm not sure why but it kind of creeps me out.

In flashbacks, I often feel like Darla doesn't really like Drusilla all that much. It's great to seem them eventually having a good time in this episode. When Angel first tried to get guidance from the PTB about Darla (in 2-3 “Dear Boy,”) they tried to warn him off through The Host: “Let her go, bro. That way lies badness...This is way off your path...Go home.” In this episode the powers send him the other way. Maybe that was the exact moment that the guy in Cordy's vision decided to kill himself but it seems like something he had been building towards for some time. It just raises questions for me about what the powers are up too.

I love this one--the idea of not Angelus, but dark Angel. Where is the line, exactly? Angelus is always in there. I always forget how much I miss Drusilla until Juliet Landau shows up and just seems to energize everything aruond her.

the moment I thought "yep angel is just as good as buffy'

That moment when Angel tells Holland that he just can't seem to care, closing and locking the doors behind him, it's a jaw-dropper.
