This is easily the best representation of grief. She cant get rid of it. We see in the last shot it still affects her, but she has learned to live with it, including all the discomfort and misery it brings.

He enjoyed the kid more than I expected (I know a few of us werenโt confident in that) but he truly appreciated the child actor and of course Essie Davis. She CRUSHED IT. This movie is such a good way of portraying grief

Not just because of it being a โhorrorโ genre movie, but as you said, a physiological movie that truly gets under your skin. I havenโt watched this since it came out, but wow am I even more impressed seeing it again through this reaction. The actress and child actor are fantastic, and Jimmy the goat as usual ๐๐ผ
