FULL LENGTH THE LORD OF THE RINGS: FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING MOVIE REACTION

two towers when??? :)

Tom Fehr

I should add I loved this reaction. I like that you're a thinker and you don't just nod and smile like a robot

rachel pelfrey

I'm sure you'll have plenty say this. They didn't help Gandalf when he fell. Unfortunately for those few moments the film doesn't show arrows flying and it difficult to perceive how far the rest of the group is from Gandalf on the bridge. They do show several shots from far away and directly before and after there's orcs and goblins firing arrows at them Gandalf also says 'this foe is being any of "you", run' there's absolutely nothing any of them could have done to help. He wanted them to keep going so his fight wouldn't be for nothing and they could have a good chance to get out of Moria. The film isn't perfect but a lot of ppl miss those details because it is a very very detailed trilogy based on an even more highly detailed book

rachel pelfrey

Will you be watching all of them jimmy? I love LOTR

Never mind the pippin hate, Frodo was the hateable one. I remember feeling bad for Sam having to put up with him haha.

Dani

First of all I haven't watched the reaction, and I don't think I will. But I still want to jump in on the Pippin debate. Personally I have nothing but love for this trilogy, I'm not even able to hate any of the characters. To be honest, as soon as I read that, I lost all interest in watching the reaction. Of course I accept anyone's opinion, it's totally valid, but that doesn't mean I enjoy watching it. Personally I rarely hate characters, except if they are badly written - which Pippin is not. I also don't get easily annoyed at characters. I think I just get annoyed at people getting easily annoyed. 🙃 I remember when I watched it in the cinema. The shit Pippin did in the mines for example. People were gasping and some people were laughing, I did both because it's just SO absurd. It was basically impossible to cause any more noise than he did and Gandalf's reaction was hilarious. My point is that I just have a completely different approach to characters like Pippin. Instead of hating him, I root for him even more. Because I want him to develop. We can't all be Aragorns and Gandalfs from the start. I don't want that, it's just boring. You need characters like Pippin. He obviously has a good heart, and it's brave of him to go on this journey. So it's easy for me to get attached to him. But he just doesn't think. So it makes sense for the character to do stupid shit like this. The movie is very consistent when it comes to that. It wouldn't make sense for Frodo or even Merry to act like that. But it doesn't make me hate the character or wish he would die. Quite the opposite I want that character to grow, because then it would be satisfying. Not saying that Pippin will be like that, but that's what I want - character development. Otherwise what's the point? There are other characters from tv shows or movies that just didn't bother me. Sansa for example. I just root for her and want her to succeed and come out of this stronger than before. And I think my approach keeps me from hating characters in general (except if they are badly written -THEN my hate grows strong!) and it makes me enjoy the movie a lot more.

Ninaofthe90s

Hate by association lol

OutlawStar

I'm not sure what Merry (Charlie from Lost) did to deserve your hate 🤣 Pippin I get it absolutely, he's a fool. Merry hasn't done anything dumb🤷‍♂️

Michael Harrop

I'd recommend the extended editions for the final 2 films. If you're not willing to commit to a longer length to both I'd say the final one is absolutely essential. They made some really odd choices in the edit, where a prominent character through the first 2 films just gets cut out entirely. The extended finishes that plot line among others that didn't make the cut

Michael Harrop

This would be awesome. They'll also release a remastered version for PC and PS5 later this year. Would be perfect for a Halloween special.

I was a kid when I first watched this, couldn't grasp what a metaphor is. When they were all pledging to go with Frodo on his journey 'you have my sword, and my bow, and my axe'. I thought they were all just giving him their weapons 🤣 Thought how's this little guy gunna manage to carry all that!

Michael Harrop

Pippin is technically a “teen” in Hobbit lives, so of course, you’ll hate him

Kim Carragher

I would kill to see you do a play through of Until Dawn. Jumping at a vaguely monstery Bilbo lmao

Kim Carragher

I could never hate any of them.

Ninaofthe90s

It was too late yesterday for me to watch this full reaction so I’ll finish the rest today but I’m glad you’ve enjoyed the first hour so far, at least appreciating how gorgeous it is visually!

Dean Cyphers

Same 😂 these fools had it coming though

Dean Cyphers

I knew you would hate merry and pippin 😂

Light Yagami

This is the longer behind the scenes video: https://youtu.be/Gti51b46QD0?si=4AJ5SSKtYIcoMhW0 There are no spoilers for next movies. Worth checking out.

Scarlett Monrow

Making of this film is a great story in itself. Here are some interesting bits (it's not long, only 9 minutes) https://youtu.be/6pdANYyk2-M?si=KIty8AjmXL6baoR_

Scarlett Monrow

He has seen the movies ten years ago and didn't like them very much. So don't get too excited. 😘 For me the whole trilogy will always be top 5 though

Ninaofthe90s
