Luther giving Jax Teller serious competition for the worst walk by a lead character. Luther's walk and hands in pockets is horrible.

Listening to your thoughts after I can see what you mean about 5. Fair enough. It was an implausible sequence of events. It didn’t bother me too much as it was happening, but when you take a step back and look at it I suppose it is too much contrivance all at once. The vampire episode was gross as shit and my least fav in the first season, not 5.
Cheers Jimmy.

As much as I love Idris Elba, Ruth Wilson as Alice Morgan is by far the best part of the show for me. Her scenes make even the not so good episodes more enjoyable.

I will say the things about the phone call and everyone immediately believing Luther was guilty are dumb. But the reason for the meeting with Ian was so Luther could get him and the others out of the station so Mark could go in and steal the diamonds.

I was wondering if they were saving Sugarman for something considering the clerk saw him and there was a description... and then nothing happened 😂

I really like the way you put that Jimmy, these last two episodes were like a first draft of something that wasn't checked for continuity and "sense making" as Nina pointed out above, the phone call and Sugarman's death are entirely too big just to forget.
My previous point wasn't that it was a big jump, just that the one thing wasn't a big jump, that he was willing to skirt the law, nothing more.

can somebody explain to me why that phone call between Zoe and Luther wasn't used as evidence. ??? She called him seconds before she got shot. So if he was there to shoot her, she would'nt have called him right.?
yeah not a big fan of this episode either...the meeting between Luther and Ian was stupid and unnecessary. All it did was put Luther in the line of fire and Justin basically had to save him for no reason.
Also I really don't like that everyone is 100% convinced Luther is guilty. I mean...they don't even take a second to think that Ian might have something to do with it. It's very weird that Luther would pin this on Ian of all people. But they don't even question Ian. Nothing.
And what happened with Sugarman - the guy Ian shot during last episode. Did everyone just forget about him.
Maybe I missed something. But I'm not a fan. episode 4 is the best of the season and I prefer season 2 overall.
What I did like: Schenk being the one who investigates and basically supporting Luther. Justin - great partner. And Mark North working together with Luther, very satisfying. And Alice of course. She's always great.
Onto season 2 ❤

Also the first draft explanation at the end made alot of sense. Never thought of it that way lol. Anyway onto S2. Thanks

I don't know if you'll want to go back and see this but the ending actually continues on in between the credits so there's a little but left that you didn't get to see.
