2025-12-25 20:25:36 +0000 UTCI'm glad you covered this one this year since you were intentionally looking for holiday horror. This is the perfect place to start. I think it is probably one of the most important horror films of the 20th century and directly influenced so many films that came later, including Halloween. Most holiday horror is not very well-produced, but we do keep getting them cranked out every season now, similarly to holiday romances. For something that is considered more in-line with essential viewing, I would recommend the original Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984). You asked about the voice of Billy in this one. The dialogue was recorded by actor Nick Mancuso, who was uncredited, but has done quite a lot over the decades (though not much anyone has seen). He said the voice was actually an electronic blend of his and another actress that was done in post. The ladies on screen were reacting to silence during the scenes and only found out what was actually said when they viewed the finished film.

2025-12-25 18:26:34 +0000 UTCIf you're feeling up for it, the Lost reactions might be a good opportunity to return to the practice of adjusting your room color to what's reacted to. In this case green would be a fitting choice IMO. Blue can also be argued for, but I'd vote green.
