The books is even more crazy and disturbing than the movie. Definitely worth the read!

Add me to the Dolores Claiborne fans. I rank it as Kathy Bates's best performance.

A brief word from your "number one fan..."
Sorry, I couldn't resist a too good bit of "cheeky".
I'm a little surprised that nobody else did that one...
I second the mention of Dolores Claiborne and I need to mention a belief about the sheriff and his main squeeze. I don't think they were on the rocks or in a difficult patch in their relationship. I think that they had been together so long that they just bounce the comments and needling stuff right off each other. I think either would be devastated with the loss of the other being the "old married couple" couple they were.

such a great movie. kathy bates is fantastic. check out dolores claiborne, king wrote the character with her in mind. other great king adaptations are the green mile, shawshank redemption (if you haven't seen it??) the shining and doctor sleep

I loved this movie. Just two incredible performances put in the same room, and letting the tension ratchet up. Caan and Bates are just fantastic. King is great at a lot of things, and in particular creating situations that can feel horrifically plausible is one of his talents.
A Stephen King kick would be great! I think the best ones for reactions would be 1408, The Green Mile, The Mist and Dr Sleep. They're all top tier.

Love this classic, Bates and Caan work so well off each other.
I'd love for you to watch more COCK-A-DOODIE King films, there's some really great ones ❤️
