Also I just read that apparently Trish is holding a pair of glasses in the first scene (even though she doesn't wear them in the movie) which is supposed to tell us right from the start why The Creeper wants Darry's eyes and not hers - she has bad eyesight! Even though I've never noticed it, I think t a very cool detail!

And her looking at Trish in that moment wasn't her going "it's you it wants" it was her sort of going "I'm sorry, girl but you're about to lose your brother lol". And also the reason why The Creeper took Darry and not Trish is because Darry was definitely more fearful and less brave that Trish. The psychic kept mentioning that it feeds off of fear and The Creeper seeing how Trish was willing to be brave and sacrifice herself for Darry wasn't tasty enough for it LOL

2025-10-09 22:50:51 +0000 UTCI watched this once when I was 9, and could only remember a few images: the creature standing by the pipe staring at the car as it drives past, when it's standing in front of the window with its wings out, and that final shot. What a wild movie lol - you're totally right it's got such a strange structure, but that's not a complaint; it definitely keeps you on your toes. The psychic thing kind of comes out of nowhere and doesn't really payoff, if I had one criticism, but it's not a big deal. I like the relationship between the two mains - it seems very genuine and believable - and the design for the creature is really cool. It's definitely more creepy with the outfit on though, it kind of loses something for me when it just straight up looks like a demon, but there's a kind of uncanny valley thing going on when it's trying to pass as human that I liked. Great start to the Halloween season! 🎶 Jeepers Creepers...🎶 Well, that's gonna be stuck in my head for the rest of the night lol
