Release Commentary:
A bit of a random pack that Pea really wanted to do. She's a real fan of the detailed patterns on carpets and such. Some unfortunate layering made it difficult to edit though. Generally, lots of good looking detailed stuff in this pack.

We've added another wood type to the mix. Now there's Wood D.

Had a real hard time figuring out the what category to place this in. Thought about shoving it in fantasy (as thats mostly premodern stuff) but it didn't feel right. So now we've put ourselves in this semi-historical corner. If we expand on this the categories will generally try to be century specific, but pls no bully regarding true accuracy. I'll prolly edit the showcase background to something better in the future as well. But for now just wanted to release the pack.

Somehow just organizing the pack after export takes a whole day and its getting late here. So I am just ramble typing. Ramble ramble ramble. pls enjoy :)

Lol, updated the showcase with a map theme to fit the historical category, but I now can't help but just see pancake-man as our logo... I'll prolly have to update it again in the future. But for now pancake-man stays.

As a historian who specializes in Asia, I completely agree with the need to specify the region. Also, I actually don't see a problem of naming them by century, even if it's not a 100% accurate. Material culture changed a lot through the ages, when we look at the bigger picture, but especially in premodern times, this change tended to be quite slow and uneven.

I've been bouncing around a lot of ideas with the appropriate naming for this pack. "Early Modern" is good because it allows to divide the millennia into easy to understand chunks. But the downside is that it would be all over the place in terms of alphabetical order. I could maybe do something like PeaPu_3_Early_Modern_ PeaPu_2_Medieval_ PeaPu_1_Antiquity_ The biggest downside with the century based naming is the sorta ahistorical nature of the pack contents. I think. Maybe if I made them bigger like 15th-19th century but that too can get confusing. So now part of me thinks that maybe just going by century is best, even if it will result in some or many assets not necessarily belonging to that category. What I should probably do is change the last title to be more specific, i.e. it should be ..._European_Home Or maybe something to accentuate the luxury, i.e.... European_Manor I think that would prolly be a good call...

Yep, those rugs and fancy furniture are just what the super-rich in Cyberpunk settings need to show just how wealthy they are. Real wood! Real natural fibres! Real history! (Also, handy for luxury locations in the contemporary world, too.)

Simon 'Landmine'

Also, if you're not feeling comfortable with the title, you might call it "Early Modern". Works like a charm for us historians xD

There will come a time when I will GM 7th Sea once more, and this will be, quite possibly, present in each and every map (although 7th Sea isn't 1700 yet...). Until then, don't you think I won't use this masterwork in my Fallout and Cyberpunk maps xD
