So interesting to see this - thank you for sharing it! I was dxd ADHD-PI a few years ago, with a dx of ASD received just two days ago, so still on a bit of a self-discovery journey and still learning.
At school, all my reports said that I was quiet, needed to engage more, and basically should "lighten up and take school less seriously!" (coming from teachers - I find that quite funny!). I didn't recall being hyperactive as a kid but after watching home movies (working to digitise them) it's been fascinating to see signs of both autism and adhd. I saved all my energy and talking up for when I was at home - one video that runs for 10-15 mins (aged 7 or 8) is just me talking (not conversation) rapidly - the topics and conversation really drift; e.g. " see that thing over there?" (toy lobster) "he's my friend - well? is he? not really - what's a friend anyway, when they're under the sea? well, I guess he's my friend - he's ok, great, cool - yes it's very cool outside today isn't it, is it going to rain, I don't think so? I don't know," and on, and on! Really just looked like talking for the sake of talking or expelling all the energy and words that were bottled up all day!
Thank you for sharing this. There aren't many AuDHD creators willing to share home movies (I respect/understand why), so thank you for making this - it's very comforting / affirming seeing such familiar and relatable experiences from others.

you probs felt better after these vlogs bc you were in comfy clothes, in a familiar/safe place, and finally able to rip the mask off after having it on all day at school and let out all that buildup of energy/whatnot

Im very happy to see your hyperactivity, I feel like a lot of your content is focused on autism and how it presents in you and It kinda always slightly makes me question my autism status but seeing this side of you makes me relate A LOT I was exactly like this when I was in hs

It upsets me as an American that our flag is now associated with white nationalism, im quite patriotic about what my country is supposed to be but our current administration has turned it to a bunch of bullock

The thing that sticks out to me is that you had hundreds of subs after such a short period of time. Compare that to even five years later, when hiimmarymary, one of the best webseries ever, spent seven months with only six subs, three of which the creator knew in real life.

Aww, I hope you enjoyed! I always forget about content on Patreons I'm subscribed to as well - I get distracted by YouTube 😅 Congrats on your diagnosis! I hope it was a positive experience 💛

I've recently rewatched some old family videos and I'm confused how there were apparently "no signs"😅

This healed something in me. We had very similar childhoods across the pond.
