He killed the last King, which is why he is called "The king slayer" he killed the king that robert was trying to overthrow in the rebellion. The lannisters, the starks and the Baratheons were allies in the rebellion to overthrow the mad king, Aries Targaryen. Jamie is the one who killed the king after swearing to protect him so now he has that nickname.

I'm so happy you posted this on my birthday; I didn't get to watch until today though; was sidetracked yesterday. Catelyn Stark sure surprised Tyrion there at the end. As for Litterfinger/Lord Baelish, well, if you're wondering whether or not to trust him; I'd say trust your gut.

You got to be a little more careful listening to the stories and rumors of everyone, including over heard conversations. Lol, I'm a little concerned you didn't understand that sex scene in the tub, 😏. He wasn't getting excited talking about dragons. She was. She was stimulating him under the water while he was talking about dragons. Sex workers didn't get out much. In an earlier episode she said she was sold to the brothel when she was 6 and didn't start sex work until 10. She's been in that brothel 15yrs until Viserys bought her as a lady in waiting for his sister AND his personal sex worker. So she couldn't tell him stories of where she's been because she hasn't been anywhere. She was saying that she found adventure in the stories of her customers. So hearing about dragons from a real Targaryen was exciting her. You see this is a world where almost everyone only hears rumors, and people love to embellish rumors, lol. She asked him if he had dragon blood inside him because of the stories people tell about Targaryen's. Even he wasn't sure. Showing they both know the rumor because it's even a rumor in his family. Remember their conversation, though. Viserys talked a little about the recent history of dragons. He said dragonriders came from Valyria...where they most likely made Valyrian steel. The same steel of the dagger that was used to try to kill Bran. She said she meet a man with a dagger made of Dragonglass. In our reality, obsidian is called Dragonglass. It's a real material that weapons (usually arrowheads) were made out of. She said she met a man that could change his face. And a pirate who loved to where gold. The names of the dragons won't mean as much, however, until you see House of the Dragon. The discussion between Sansa and her nanny; the reason the nanny didn't say anything is because she's a servant. Servants are expected to keep their master's secrets. She clearly just has a high morality about keeping her station and isn't going to gossip to the daughter of her boss that most likely wants to tell his version of things and not have her hear rumors. She totally could've told her, though, you're right. So this is Samwell Tarly. Robert Baratheon talked about how his first kill, when he was young, was a Tarly, in the previous episode and Sam has just been kicked out of his family, giving you some insight into the Tarlys. I have some serious doubt anyone is going say anything about Robert cheating on Cersi, lol. Ros the sex worker was been mentioned twice this episode, by Theon recommending her to Tyrion, and by Jon talking about the time he almost had sex. We met Ros in the first episode with Tyrion. We learned Varys, the Master of Whispers on the council, is a eunuch; as in a castrated man. We also learned he is called The Spider. And that Lord Baelish is called Littlefinger. We met the Mountain, Gregor Clegane, and learn he is the Hound's brother. The Mountain will change actors two times in this show so it's okay if you don't recognize him later. We learned about the Freys, the 89 year old Waldor Frey, that wants the Starks to see him on his birthday getting married to his next wife. We learned about the Greyjoys, sailors, losing to the Starks and the Starks taking one of the Greyjoy children, the only son left, Theon, to ensure an alliance and that they behave for the time being. We met Hodor, the man that carries Bran around. The man who's last words were "Burn them all" was the Mad King who died 17 yrs ago by Jamie, who stabbed him in the back. Aerys Targaryen. Jon Arryn was the Hand of Robert and Lord of the Vale, which is where his wife, Cat's sister Lsya, and his son fled to. This is the second time we've heard of the name Mance Rayder as a leader of Wildlings beyond the wall. Don't feel too bad about the joust death. The show implied the guy who died might of been involved in Jon Arryn's death. He was Jon's squire and was made a knight immediately after Jon's death. Cat mentioned some houses at the end, in the Tavern. Whent and Bracken and Freys as friends of house Tully. What she means is that these are smaller houses that owe loyalty to her father and her husband. I'm glad you're sticking with it.

2025-11-16 09:37:47 +0000 UTCI will keep saying this. This show makes you sad, and angry just as much as it will make you feel hopeful and amazing that things are happening. You have to slog through the evil to get to the comebacks and the good but it takes little while. This show is all about the journey. No character is inherently evil or good (well there are a couple) but You need to do your best to empathize with almost everyone and why they made the choices they did. Thats what makes this show so unique. Almost every character has a lot of depth to them and this show does a good job at opening their stories as the show goes on. Season 1 is the setting stone that kicks off the rest of the show. I honestly cant wait until you get to season 2 as well. I wish you could do two episodes a week, but also, the good news is. You dont have to wait years on end like we did between seasons.

Yes bad things are ahead but so much good also , you're go through every emotion but I promise the highs are so good it evens out the bad . Just have to say the acting in this show is phenomenal, Maisie as Arya is incredible she gets special mention because she's my favourite 🔥💙 oh and you need not worry Vicky your hair looks amazing 👌
