Most people aren't ready in to be in relationships during their teens. We all start getting into relationships but usually the intent has more to do with satisfying a fantasy of our ideal relationship and less with learning how to be in a relationship with another person that doesn't think in our self-centered perspective. We don't mature at the rates and we don't progress on the same issues at the same times because different issues have different priorities for each of us. Learning adaptation when dealing with others, especially the ones we choose to never let go of, takes a lot of mistakes and hurdles. Plus a lot of adjusting perspectives. Overwhelming emotions, fears, and trauma have to be dealt with otherwise they hold us back from progressing our skills in adapting. That's why the writing of these character arcs is so good because there is plenty of blunt and subtle displays of navigating that growth; partially because there are so many different types of main characters that we follow so its easier to divide those elements up between them. Don't be too sad about the show ending. Each season was 10 episodes until the 6th, which got 15 episodes. Its almost unheard of that the last season gets the most episodes. That usually only happens when the show gets cancelled pre-maturely so they cram that last pieces of plot into an extended season OR when they the send off for the show was planned and they're making a big splash about it ;) Foreign TV shows are usually created with an ending already planned because stories aren't originally intended to go on forever. They are meant to be stories, tales, and fables to give us perspective on our own struggles and paths. It was American TV shows that designed them as perpetual comfort food...because of capitalism, of course, lol, but that is getting off topic. Point is that this show, made by Netflix remember, had tons of planning and very dedicated creators that had a great amount of nostalgia for the Karate Kid films, too. They most likely wouldn't get involved in doing a show like this unless they get to end it the way they want, right? ;)

2025-10-24 16:18:59 +0000 UTCAs I've said before; we've come a long way from drawings on billboards, and Johnny doing odd jobs and pawning stuff from time to time. I won't spoil anything but I do need to tell you this- you're in for one hell of an epic season finale. This one's gonna stick with ya. I'll see you there!
