Added 2022-08-03 00:30:55 +0000 UTCHey everyone!! SO.... AFTER A YEAR.... (AND IT NOT GETTING PICKED ON THE POLL... VERY DISAPPOINTED BTW....) HERE IS AMERICAN PSYCHO! I was so excited to watch this and it was everything I thought it'd be and MORE. I really, really like films that mess with your mind like this and keep you guessing as to what the next scene will hold. Even the ending has different theories behind it and I love that. I've read so much regarding this movie I'm bummed it's taken this long to see it! I need more movies like this, I hope you guys enjoy as much as I did!!! :)

2022-11-23 23:21:18 +0000 UTCThis is a movie that I couldn't fully respect when I first saw it. The only thing I knew at the time was that Bale's performance was magnificent. I like the way it is consistently ambiguous throughout whether it is real or not. Fun fact about the interviews with the detective; The director had Dafoe give three different performances. One where he knew Patrick did it, one where he was suspicious and one where he didn't have a clue. All three takes are spliced in the movie so neither the audience or Bateman can get a read on the detective.
