Glad that you liked this. Generally this movie is considered worst of the first 3 movies. But i personally love this. I love it even more than first X-Men film. I don't get where all the hate towards this comes from for majority.

I forgot how terrible Magneto's battle strategy was

It's a pretty minor improvement, not worth it for the hassle to everyone else watching along.

Interesting seeing you like The Last Stand. It got flamed so hard when it came out it almost killed the X-men movies. I didn't think it was so bad. I do like the direction they take it after better though.

Cameron

Whew... that's over. I enjoy these movies at the same time they frustrate the heck out of me. They do things that just make no sense. And knowing where it's all going just makes it worse. Knowing that the movies get better than this but pretty much act like a lot of this never happened... yikes. I'm ready to move on.

it's available to rent on Prime.i hear what you're saying but the Rogue Cut is almost 20mins longer and includes an important original character from the movies that the Theatrical Version is missing. i remember the first time i saw the Rogue Cut and how much more emotionally satisfying it was. overall it totally is worth it.

Chip MC

oh god the cut no one owns so no one can watch with her ? i dont call that "worth it" she NEEDS to use the version on Disney + or 99% wont be able to watch it with her xD so pleeeease always use the disney + version vkunia

Florian Hoyer

whenever you get to Days of Future Past, try to get your hands on the Rogue Cut. so worth it.

Chip MC

If only Rogue knew that there would be a kid coming to the school who can nullify powers! Jk her decision makes sense I'm just trying to imagine what it would be like if you were a mutant at the school and you'd lose your powers whenever this kid passed by

Flukemarm

other than his pants, everything else can be destroyed before they got close to her

Next movies in release order are X-men origins: The wolverine and X-men first class. X-men origin is all about wolverine's story and X-men first class shows us the origin stories of Magneto and charles xavier.

Deadpool is a part of the mutant movies. Not only does Deadpool continue to reference the X-Men, constantly, but X-Men characters are in the Deadpool movies. The actors and characters of the X-Men reboot are literally in the 2nd Deadpool movie. Deadpool literally hangs out at the same X-Men mansion from the X-men movies. The studios weren't working together, but the films are connected.

Deadpool movies aren't a part of the X-Men series, just part of Fox's Mutant Franchise, but still highly recommended. New Mutants was an attempt for a new series in Fox's Mutant Franchise, but when Disney bought them, all plans to continue that series were canceled, opting instead to bring Mutants into the MCU.

Thank you for your reaction to this. Jean/phoenix is such an interesting character. That moment in the end when she is just reeking havoc is so well done and emotional. I hope you continue on to the next set of X-men movies. First class is pretty good but the one after that “Days of Future Past” is my favorite X-men movie. I’ll be so excited if/when you get to that movie. Thanks again.

So that was the former Ellen Page. HIS name, now, is Elliot Page ;)

So to clear your confusion yes, that is how Charles is back. He transfered his own mind into the empty vessel of that man in the hospital. Also the little kid still takes mutants powers, it's just showing he's accepted at the school but yes he still takes powers when he's near other mutants. I know it sucks with Rogue, but again it was her choice. It wasn't even just for Bobby, but physical touch is so important in life. Like you haven't known happiness until you have a true long hug with someone. It's heaven. So its totally respectable that she wants to have that with people, including the man she's in a relationship with. I completely understand it, although it would be nice for her to be herself but her gifts were more of a curse for her. X-men Origins Wolverine is next! Can't wait for it! 😊 (Also I'm itching for you to finally start Wandavision)

X-men was where I started when it comes to comic books, so I loved to see the phoenix saga in any iteration on film; and comic movies were few and far between back then. All we had were these films. But these films had budget and tech and director/studio constraints. They really had to compromise the original comic stories in order to get a film out. For instance, Juggernaut is not a mutant. His powers are mystical/magical/curse. He is completely human; found a magic jewel and armor that contained the powers of a mythical being known as the Juggernaut. But he is a common enemy of the X-Men in the comics so here you go, you know. And the Phoenix is massively more powerful than this movie makes it out to be. She is a cosmic force of the universe, spends her free time chilling on the 'inside' of stars, seriously. In order to have her 'me time', she dives right into the Sun until she wants to come out, again, lol. So are you going to continue the mutant movies? Next would be X-Men Origins: Wolverine, then X-Men: First Class, The Wolverine solo film, X-Men: Days of Future Past (the best, imho), Deadpool, X-Men: Apocalypse, Logan (also the best, imho), Deadpool 2, then X-Men: Dark Phoenix, and lastly, sort of, The New Mutants so far...

TJ Bigelow

I was disappointed by this movie when it first came out, it's grown on me since then but I still wouldn't rate it higher than the first two. It's still a fun movie nonetheless. I'll have to watch this to hear your opinions. Now do you plan to watch the Xmen first class movies as well?
