You had all set up a procedure for exactly this type of thing. Your family knew to always look on the kitchen counter when they got home in case you had shrunk, you'd all even installed a tiny ladder to make the climb easier.
You reached your destination and now just had to wait for your family to return home. Unfortunately, you forgot that today was Monday and that is the day that the cleaning lady comes by...and she was never informed of your shrinking virus.
