2025: Halfway Checkin

Hey everyone! Nikko here.
This year feels like it's zipping by at the speed of light... Somehow it's already june, and we havent managed to get much new content out. I wanted to give you some updates on the progress/state of the game, and how the rest of the year will play out!

1. Burrows.
We recently wrapped up Ken 4, and next up is Gabe 4! I've had the outline written for a while, however... my editor was unavailable for all of may, and still doesn't have internet at his new place. This forced me to pause work on the game for the last 5 weeks, which means Gabe probably wont be finished until July at the earliest. This means I've had to find other things to put my time into, which leads me to...
2. Fire on the Mountain.
This is a second project that I've been cooking up in the background of all my other work! If you follow my socials/frequent the patron discord channels, you've likely seen me posting bits and pieces of it. I want to emphasize that this project is nowhere near being done, and I only get to chip away at it in my free time. It's something I want to be very high quality, and thus I'm not in a rush to put it out- especially not at the expense of my other projects. At the very least, it'll be something to look forward to for people who want to read something a bit more chill than Burrows.

3. Health Issues/2025 Gameplan.

For most of 2024 and the first 4 months of 2025, I was dealing with chronic mysterious pain all over my body, and it hindered a lot of my sleep/energy. I spent a lot of time/money on doctor visits and various tests to try and determine what the issue was, and it took until march this year to narrow down what the causes could be. In the end, it was a complication with a medicine I was taking daily that was severely hindering how my body absorbed vitamins, and that prevented important processes like muscle/bone repair. I've managed to get back to a place where I feel normal again and started taking supplements, so I hope that (recent case of bronchitis not withholding) I can return to the pace I was working at when I started the project. I would like to see regular updates every 2 months again. There's only so much time left in the year with holidays and such, but I promise you that I don't want this game to go on for ever lol. We're crossing the halfway point in terms of the game's stories, so we're closing in on the finish line!
