Taylor Swift - The Anthology ALBUM LISTENING PARTY/UNCUT REACTION

Comments

Aahhhh! I’m so glad to have found your channel and now your Patreon. I LOVE watching male Taylor fans react to her music 🙂

Jody Murray

Please tell me I am going to find the Long Pond reaction on here somewhere

Brandi Lemons

cassandra is about the kardashians and the kanye call stuff she went through

Jenny

Not that you're ever short on things to put up on Patreon, bit I'd love it if you went back & reacted with fresh eyes to some of your older Taylor Swift stuff. Like the stuff from 2019, 2020, in the very early days is your channel.

Peter is a reference from Cardigan. I don't think it's about either of them. She's already confirmed that not all the songs are autobiographical.

Lori Bland

After listening to your explanation during the Bolter(one of my faves!) I get the feeling that this song, too, is about Matty. She's understanding him. She's working through the why's. Peter is him. She knew he was a lost boy. She knew she could only wait to see of he could grow up. Then she notices the fear he has of staying. In the song, the character has mates, not friends, like us Americans. I think I love her more for gaining this perspective. It wasn't her fault. He just IS the Bolter. He is a Lost Boy. He only breaks his favorite toys. He's not brave. He hurts because he hurts.

You gotta listen to explicit versions, the edits change the meaning of some of the songs

this album and second half of the first ttpd album remind me so much more of hayley williams' second album flowers for vases/descansos more than lana like people keep saying but to me lyrically reminds me so much of hayley and that album and also the pain behind the lyrics of paramore's album after laughter and what she was going through...

Nine Anutza

I don’t think there’s an explicit version of thanK you aIMee, there’s just one of that one.

Jen Rego

North is not a swiftie, she’s posted videos on TikTok mocking Taylor.

Love your passion for music and for Taylor’s work! I 100% think this is her best album and my new favorite! This was such an amazing thoughtful reaction as always. Thank you for pouring so much of yourself into these videos! One of my favorite things about release weeks are watching reactions to the new music. Yours are always a highlight! 🤍

Leah Goodman

You can enjoy the music without the lore and interpret it differently. I wish i know less.

Art3miS

Steven I really enjoyed your reaction to both albums, and I love the fact that you love Taylor so much! Thanks for all the insight! Please do a reaction of Zayn’s album after it comes out on May 15. Thanks so much… ☮️☮️☮️

Susan Austin

Loved this reaction, thanks! It kind of makes me think about if Folklore and Evermore were released together. I would (and do) like the first one best, then destined to love the second just as much. Hope that happens here!

The song So High School is about Travis and not about actual high school love 😂 she’s saying that being with Travis makes her feel young again which is the opposite of what she said about her 6yr relationship in So Long, London where she said she was pissed that he wasted so much of her youth.

Love your reactions ♥️ I read Robin as being a letter to her childhood self (or as a universal song - an anthem from guardians to children in general). It’s almost like the old therapy trick of simulating a conversation between your current self and inner child — a “what did your younger self need to hear, and can you say those words to them now?” kind of thing. It’s about preserving the innocence and imagination of childhood for as long as possible, and I think it flows incredibly into the sentiment of the manuscript. It’s just a mind-bogglingly well written album and has soo much depth.

Robin! Aaron's son's name is Robin, so a lullaby for a kid is what I've mostly heard from it. But someone pointed out to me today that the last "Tiger" was capitalized, and Robin Williams played a character named Tiger in a Broadway show. The dinosaurs referring to the scene in Mrs doubtfire, and there were a bunch more details. It definitely feels like a double meaning song of just holding on to innocence and curiosity and hope. I cry a lot with this song now.

Tiffany S

thanK you aIMee is indeed about KK, look at the capitalized letters, and yeah Saint is on her kids,a boy. but i believe the bridge is about North, she's a swiftie!

Iolita Kovatchki

loved your reaction, I think we have the same favorite songs, you definitely need to listen to the explicit version.

hea booktubes

Peter is sung from the perspective of Wendy (Peter Pan). it transitions from her after just meeting him and holding out hope for years that he'll choose to grow up and leave neverland and come back for her. until she's a grown-up into a woman and finally turns the light out at the window. The chorus repeats because it shows the anxiety and years passing

Destiny Murtaugh

You're listening to the clean version haha. It's actually bitch not witch haha. Cassandra in Greek mythology was a Trojan priestess dedicated to the god Apollo and fated by him to utter true prophecies but never to be believed. It's about the phone call /scotter braun shit and how no one believed her

Destiny Murtaugh

Come on...can't we just all get along? I love that!! EXACTLY. I loved your reaction. Your appreciation makes me appreciate Taylor even more, and I didn't think that was possible!
