Jonas Brothers - Lines, Vines And Trying Times ALBUM LISTENING PARTY/REACTION

Comments

I'm not as keen on "Don't charge me for the crime" but it could be a slow burner that over time becomes good. Another great album listen.👏🏻 (I also have to say how cute your dog was🥰)

Before the Documentary you should listen to Nick’s side project album “Who I Am” by Nick Jonas And The Administration as well as Joe’s side project, “FastLife” by Joe Jonas. They talk about these in the documentary and it’s pretty heavy.

I love this album, And the Jonas brothers were my first favourite band! Seeing as you love nicks voice, I’d love to see you react to his album ‘who I am’. he started a side project band called Nick Jonas and the administration. They only released that one album but it was great 😄

honestly, watching this was my first full listen of the album 13 yrs later. ive had the album since the debut but besides the singles, i was never able to get into the album after i heard poison ivy. now are there songs i gotten into over the years? yes like BFT and much better but this exposed me to my under appreciation for black keys, turn right(especially) and dont speak. now i feel late as hell ha. i’ll make up for it! a couple will be on my spotify wrap next yr ,definitely! one thing i’ll say is ,please listen to the jonas la soundtrack before you listen to V(not the best besides wedding bells) or the current album/music. they still had their hand in the music, mainly nick with the lyrics(of course) and they performed their favorites (critical, fall and make it right, at concerts) until 2013 on their final tour before they broke up.

Don't Speak is actually one of my favorites on this album because of the lyrics! That being said, it's crazy to think that Nick was only 17 when this album came out because his vocal talent back then, with all the falsetto and the rasps and everything else his voice was capable of doing at the time, was actually insane and it blows my mind any time I listen to a track from this album. Fly With Me has been a fave of mine from this album since it came out and it's such a fun one to hear live too!

Patty Go

I remember when this came out I had mixed feelings and felt so guilty about it. Knowing now what I didn't know then it's easier to see that this was when the cracks in their relationship just couldn't be patched any longer and it bled over into the making of the album. I so can't wait for you to watch the documentary! It sheds so much light on what happened behind the scenes and makes you understand everything so much more!

So true. I think people forgot Joe posted on MySpace saying he never hung up the phone the other person did so Taylor made it 27 seconds by hanging up. But hey at least Joe went straight to the point on the call I guess & they both got busy on tours etc so maybe was the only way. I'm glad they're friends now they're Jonas brothers & Taylor are my fave artists so it's good we can all joke now.

Jackie Warner

yeah I feel like Joe doesn't get enough credit out of Taylor's exes... sure he didn't handle the breakup all that well, but like Taylor said a few years back even she admitted she took things too far. They were both 18; people act as if Joe was a full grown adult during that time. Yes no one should breakup with someone over the phone, but considering Joe and Taylor started slowly becoming friends again a little over a year after their breakup I'm sure they got over that whole thing pretty quickly. Like Taylor said, they both laugh about it

Also are you going to do their 3D Concert Experience before you do their next album? And also are you going to react to their album from their tv show cuz if you look on Spotify it shows the JONAS L.A. album.? They had a show with Disney called Jonas and the second season of the show was called Jonas LA

SuBin Kim

A couple notes~ Poison Ivy: That was Joe at the end not Nick Before the Storm: This song was basically a Nick and Miley duet Much Better: This song is about Taylor Swift and recently Joe changed the lyrics when they performed it to "now I'm cool with superstars" Taylor and Joe, I believe, started to work on slowly rebuilding their friendship in early 2010. Taylor was once asked during a segment on the Ellen show "What is the most rebellious thing you did as a teenager?" Taylor's response was "probably when I like put Joe Jonas on blast on your show. That was too much. I was 18, yeah. We laugh about it now, but that's ... that was some mouthy yeah just some teenage stuff there"

SuBin Kim

Yes! I remember the pic of them at an award show talking & everyone was freaking out online 😂

Jackie Warner

I believe they started to work on rebuilding the friendship in like early 2010ish because I remember seeing a pic of them at the 2010 Grammys or was it the afterparty for the Grammys...

SuBin Kim

So Taylor wrote Forever & Always & Jonas Brothers did Much Better & Taylor's response to that was Better Than Revenge in the lyrics at the end she says come on show me how much better you are(it's kinda a response the the women Camilla Belle who Joe dated after her not much Joe which a lot of people don't like now but also just love the song tbh & are wondering if she'll re record it still) Taylor wrote few more songs about Joe too like Last Kiss, Superstar. The Jonas brothers don't like the perform it now bc of the tone of the lyrics it has but lately they've performed it like twice in like the last decade & have now change the lyrics to "now I'm cool with superstars" as Joe & Taylor are friends again.

Jackie Warner

I would really love to watch you react to Selena Gomez’s new song and documentary “my mind and me”

Renee Parker

Ahh yay. You need to react to their concert movie experience! There's a few special guests & there's some fun sketches & parts too.

Jackie Warner

Before I forget, please check out Stay by Nick Jonas, there´s only a live version but it´s a masterpiece

Daniela Patlan

Yes can’t wait to finally watch this

juju

I know you’re planning to do the documentary. I recommend also doing their 2 concert movies. One is Jonas Brothers 3d experience. It’s from 2008 when camp rock was released, Demi Lovato was their opener, Joe was dating Taylor, etc. but there is also cool behind the scenes. Just a great watch. And you should do their most recent which was Happiness Continues.

Cassie

The fact that Nick and Miley gave us Before The Storm after they broke up and it's not the most streamed song from the album is criminal
