I have been a fan for more than seven years now, and I listen to their music or watch their performances every single day, and I still find myself smiling like an idiot all the way through it. And seeing that it makes other people like you smile, too, makes it even better. Koba is such a genius. Envisioning these shows is one thing, but then making it reality is another. That finale with The One gets me every time. The music, the lyrics and the visuals go so perfectly well together. Another thing that strikes me every time with this performance in particular is the guitar sound. I don't think I have ever heard such a clear live sound. Absolute perfection!

This was an awesome reaction and an incredible show! “A lot of dudes in there” - Haha, I noticed as the year progressed their crowds became more diverse. 2015 was only their 2nd year ever touring internationally. At my show in DC a few weeks back, it was a really even mix of guys and girls of all ages. “Just when you thought they can’t get more ridiculous!” - 🤣 Yeah, nothing like Babymetal flying over the crowd to sing their fan tribute song, “The ONE” to close out this epic show! Look forward to more Babymetal concert reactions! 2024-12-10 00:55:38 +0000 UTCFunny maybe, but one of the reasons they are now able to do these huge long tours they've never done before, isn't just because they are more mature. It's because before they were still in school and later university ! They couldn't tour all year, in the very early world tour days, Babymetal would perform early in the evening, no opening band. Why ? Because by Japanese law, they were still kids and can't perform late in the evening.

2024-12-09 23:14:58 +0000 UTCYeah, there are no weak spots, 1 reason obviously, it's not just 'these kids', which are hugely professional, but also a lot of other adults behind the scenes making it all happen. These are really some of the best in the business in the world. But it would obviously not be possible without the success, you need the crowd to be able to pay for it and you need popularity to get the crowd, etc. We used to have Rock Opera, I sometimes think of Babymetal as Metal Opera. But it all only can exists if these young ladies, girls even, can deliver. And their producer, Kobametal, really knew how to push them without breaking, give them challenges, points to reach they could work towards. Like at the end of this show Tokyo Dome was revealed, the biggest most important venue in Japan. They were not ready at this point, but they had a a whole world tour in 2016 to support the release of a new/second album and at the end of that tour they were ready for those big show in Tokyo Dome, they sold 2 nights and they did completely different setlists, no song was repeated, all songs of the first 2 albums were played. The young ladies even said: Tokyo Dome didn't feel as big as we expected (because they had stood on bigger stages at festivals in Europe). That's some growth, in less than a year time.

One of the many things that amazes me is how they have consistently been able to deliver this super high level of entertainment now for over 10 years. I thought we had maybe reached peak Babymetal in 2016 but I have been proven wrong as 2023-24 has been an incredible time for Babymetal with huge tours and epic shows and the ladies seemingly being as happy and enthusiastic as ever.
