THE LEGEND is another favorite of mine. Really underrated track. And yeah, it's definitely closer to FDTD than most BM songs but also still very much its own thing.

They're not afraid to experiment with different genres but I don't even know where to begin classifying this one. It's got such a unique vibe that blends so many sounds together. It's cinematic, chill, heavy, beautiful, haunting, suspenseful, and hopeful all at the same time. The original song has a very heavy effect on Su's vocals which works for the vibe but getting to hear her more clearly makes this version my favorite for sure. I would love to get more songs like this on their next album. Time Wave is another favorite of mine that is maybe the closest to hitting the same vibes. But it's pretty different as well.

2024-09-22 19:00:46 +0000 UTCOne of my favorite Babymetal song, the feel is unique and almost comforting to me (listened to the studio version for a long time before this excellent live effort). Probably my favorite BM song is "AMORE" - and the Live from Wembley 2016 version is easily my favorite. It is one of the Su Metal solo songs, there are a couple surprises in there that hooked me, and the OG Kami band is on fire. Will probably have to be a Patreon song, as the original is almost always blocked...there are some compilations of varying quality, but the original is boss.

From composition, to the girl’s vocals and choreography, to the Kami Band, and the stage crew/production. Can’t wait to see them live in Nov. even though it won’t be the arena shows and a smaller venue, still will be amazing!

2024-09-21 02:16:27 +0000 UTCI love this song, in my top 5 BM songs easily. It's also only the second time it's ever been performed, and the only proshot we have of it. A lot of credit to Yuyoyuppe (yuppemetal) who did the arrangement and composition. He worked on Rondo of Nightmare and Karate, which you previously reacted to as well. I would still recommend you checking out the Legend MM 2024 version of Karate since all you heard was a festival which has spotty audio quality. Yuppe also worked on YAVA! which I saw you reacted to before it got yeeted by YouTube. I highly recommend Monochrome Live at PIA Arena 2023 next. which is also yuppe. The Budokan 2021 shows have very nice stage production, but the zooming FTFG does to it to get it up on YouTube is like a wrecking ball, and then they almost always get blocked by reactors regardless.

Also, I love how intelligently Babymetal foreshadows the progression with the song title: The serene evening descends into a chaotic midnight, followed by the ascent into the warm rising sun of the morning -> From Dusk Till Dawn!
