Mid-month devlog and fixed build

Dev news everyone!

As promised, by mid-month, I'm releasing an updated build with fixes, as well as a preview of character customization, which is available in the Play Room in the main menu.

I also wanted to share my thoughts on the development process!

Play Room

One of the many things players wanted to see was the ability to replay all available scenes separately. I'm working on the Play Room—a space where you can apply any available customization options to your character (without gameplay restrictions) and replay all scenes.

At the moment, the first version of customization is available, and I would really love to hear your feedback and suggestions—what to add, what to remove, etc.

Rebirth and Pregnancy Mechanics

In the classic version of the game, we had a rebirth mechanic where, if the barbarian lost a battle, they would end up in Purgatory. By making it through, they could either end up in Hell or return to Storm Valley.

Since the new version of the game features changes in the storyline, I want to adjust this mechanic a bit.

When the barbarian becomes pregnant by a monster, she will still be able to lay an egg. However, each egg will have its own unique parameters depending on who the "father" was.

If the barbarian has eggs in their inventory, the option to be reborn in Purgatory will be available after losing a battle. The barbarian's appearance will be determined by the type of egg.

For example, the barbarian can be reborn as a green-skinned half-orc woman. In this case, her genital  attributes will be reset (virgin again), but her sexual skills will be retained. Additionally, the half-orc body grants increased stamina but prevents the use of an anal plug.

The classic barbarian skin can be obtained from Torus, and so on.



If, at the moment of defeat, the barbarian has no eggs, she can return from Purgatory as a succubus and later regain her humanity in the mortal world.

Just like in the original version, progressing through Purgatory will be a mini-game with changing rules.

While in the succubus form, the barbarian will be unable to use protective seals.

Dynamic Effects

I also want the barbarian to change depending on in-game circumstances. For example, after each battle, her body will become visibly dirtier, and any damage taken will appear as cuts and bruises on her skin.


Makeup will also react to your actions. Oral scenes will smudge her lipstick, and deep throat will cause tears to appear.

Animation Optimization

The second important aspect when implementing morphs is animation compatibility.

As you might have noticed, all Lewd scenes are pre-recorded animations. For example, the orc's hand placement on the barbarian's hips is predetermined. If her hips become thicker or thinner, the orc's hands will either float in the air or sink through her body. Creating separate animations for every morph variation is impossible. However, we can dynamically attach the hands to a specific "bone" of the character and adjust their position based on the body settings.

Unfortunately, UE5 doesn't have this built-in feature, so I spent significant time finding a solution. Here's how it will work.

I have a custom plugin that allows me to capture a "snapshot" of the position of all points on the barbarian's body.

Next, I define the anchor point for the animation. Let’s say this will be her belly button.

After that, when any morph is applied, I check how much it has shifted from the corresponding "bone" in the morph set. Based on this, I can attach the position of the limbs accordingly. This allows for more accurate and dynamic animations even with body changes.

Overall, I managed to achieve minimal lag for the game's performance because the positions of the points are recorded in advance, after the morph is applied by the player, eliminating the need for constant processor calls.

Now, I need to implement this plugin into the current animation system and test each animation. Fortunately, there aren’t as many animations at this stage as there were in the original game. 🙂

When you defeated and count down finishes before Call of Lust scene started, the game loads in wrong place - fixed

After trying to use Call of Lust o Torus, the game loads in wrong place - fixed
