It's like Marsh said, no one is going to write up an employee for saying they want to go eat some fried chicken and/or watermelon. They're going to get written up if they say that while making hard eye contact and nudging a black person in the office, making it clear they're making a racist joke. Context matters, and that's why these fools like Smith will always hem and haw, instead of telling you exactly what POC were claiming when they're telling them about racist encounters.

Riders telling the girls training the horses that if they sleep with him, he will use that horse in a competition. Men walking up to girls and fondeling them and taking them home to have sex with them, because they can and if the girl says no they will punish her horse, because he owns the stable she works at! And its not even her horse! The way it works is that the owner has someone else take care of and raise the horses, and its these "horse girls" that are being sexually abused by predetory men! Fuck all the way of with that bullshit. (Apologies for the outburst but it was this or driving home angry. Wil delete if not appropriate)

Never heard of them before this podcast, and even just what we hear here is an example of one of those "skeptical thinkers" that in reality just think being against progressive talking points, makes them a skeptical thinker, while they accept conservative talking points whole cloth.

2025-02-07 14:57:17 +0000 UTC10 years ago I wrote up an employee for telling a joke about fried chicken and watermelon being the favorite food of another employee who was black. You could hear a pin drop in the room when she said it. It was not funny then and it sure isn't now. These guys don't care that their ignorance creates such hateful and similarly ignorant followers, because their *just asking questions *. And then make millions doing it. Thank you for opening my eyes to what we're up against in the next four+ years. Awesome show!
