Wait... I thought big pharma wouldn't let people take things like hydroxychloroquin because they can't monetize it in any way!
I guess the doctor gouging Mel 800 dollars for hydroxychloroquin is just smarter than the entire pharmaceutical industry... I mean, that person figured out how to use a shortage of medicine to overcharge the absolute shit out of someone, but big pharma decided to bury "cures" and engage in the uphill battle that was convincing the dumbest humans that a vaccine was the right treatment because they can make more money with that...

Placebo Effect. You might as well eat a Peeps and call it medicine. Actually, that would be better as Peeps is simply sugar. Who knows what Ivermectin might do to you, if taken randomly.

Idk if it's fear of pushing back, or just the fact that when you're having a conversation with someone charismatic, and let's be real here, charisma is a lot of the trade for Hollywood actors, and if you're not convinced Gibson is a shit person, you might buy into his charisma, and so you're sitting there, having an hours long chat with them, and when they veer off into crazy shit, you just kinda "yes and" it and tell it as a weird ass story from that time you got to sit and talk to someone famous.
Either way, it's pretty good evidence for the fact that Joe Rogans podcast is not a good method for interview, but thanks to it's sphere of influence, people eat that shit up

To go one step further, people will be given a dose of Ivermectin, by a doctor who maybe is taking a shot in the dark, a stab in an alley at getting their patient to recover, and through any one of ten thousand tiny factors, their patient recovers.
That doesn't mean Ivermectin is a bandaid cure for a virus, and anyone who takes it in any capacity will recover, but I've had someone look me in the eye and say they refuse to get vaccinated because they got Covid19 back right when Ivermectin was being considered as a treatment, and their *doctor* gave it yo them, and they got better so, if they get it again they'll just take it again and it'll work again...

As a former Rogan fan I am glad I found this podcast. He definitely doesn’t believe the martial arts portion but I think he is afraid to push back.

One reason people recover from a virus is spontaneous recovery. You're sick, you get better. Well, if you had spaghetti for dinner then I guess spaghetti cures the virus, right?
Wrong, but people will say that. I ate spaghetti, or took Ivermectin, and got better. Well? People get better.

I laughed so hard when Mel pointed to Hydroxychloroquin working for malaria as some proof of its effectiveness against other things. It's wild how much so many people latched on to two random ass drugs during covid just because of the idiotic impulse of "well, my guy said the name and then the experts lost their mind to say it doesn't work, so it must secretely work better than they could possibly imagine!"

I got halfway through this episode, after bringing all the others, and just had to stop. I can listen to Knowledge Fight and Alex Jones for weeks with out issues æ, but a couple of hours of Joe Rogan and I had to tap out.
It's a good show, it's just Joe Rogan who sucks in a way I can't deal with. Or maybe it was the extra dose of Mel Gibson on top that just pushed me over the edge. Idk.
Looking forward to the next episode!

Listening to this, knowing that Mel Gibson is going to become one of Trump's "Hollywood ambassadors" just makes this interview so much scarier
