This was my inaugural movie to Guy Ritchie back in the days and still holds up as the best yet. And it gets even better with repeated viewing. The Gentlemen Ritchie's second best movie with a stellar cast in some unusual roles.
I've had a ton of fun watching along with you guys. I love this movie to death. Btw. Dan almost got the joke with Tyrone not seeing the huge van behind the getaway car in broad daylight, but spotted a man with four fingers in the dark, lol.

I'm totally editing you two into this movie ๐ค I don't think you two realize how smart you are on picking up things. Little things...I could make a whole video, but I don't want you to think I'm weird ๐คทโโ๏ธ

Guy Ritchie's The Man from U.N.C.L.E. is a favorite of mine, and The Gentlemen is also very good. My favorite Jason Statham movie is "Spy", a Melissa McCarthy comedy where is kind of spoofs his action roles.

Not really a fan of Guy Ritchie's geezer era, but Sherlock Holmes is great

If you didn't know, Jason Statham was a competitive diver for British team at the Commonwealth Games in 1990

This is the only video I had seen of him ever with full set of hair, lol ...

I love Guy Ritchie. This is one of my favorites. I can't wait for you guys to watch LOCK, STOCK. Believe it or not, not LOCK, STOCK and SNATCH were originally supposed to be the same movie, but he wound up breaking them up into two movies.

From what I heard, Brad Pitt was originally supposed to do an English accent but he couldn't pull it off convincingly, and it was his idea to make Mickey Irish instead.
And I once saw a video of Irish people reacting to non Irish actors trying to do Irish accents, and although you'd probably think Scottish actors would do it justice, they pretty much all hated Sean Connery's accent in The Untouchables, Gerard Butler's in another movie, I forget what, but they all loved Brad Pitt's accent.

This is awesome! Idk why I thought you'd already watched this. RocknRolla and The Gentlemen are both in the same vein as this one. If you want this along with a proper mind f**k, watch Revolver. Seriously, it's like Donnie Darko where you have to Google to understand, but totally worth it ๐ค

The DVD (and probably blu ray) lets you add subtitles just for Brad Pitt's dialogue. I legit didn't understand a word he was saying and now I hear it all so clearly thanks to having seen it with those subs a few times.

Yay! Yes nobody brings up Layer Cake, but if you like Guy Ritchie's earlier films, you're sure to enjoy it. Honestly I got bored with Ritchie's films once he went mainstream, so I often joke that Layer Cake is the best Guy Ritchie film that Guy Ritchie didn't direct :)

Lock, Stock & 2 Smoking Barrels is definitely in the same spirit as Snatch; although Snatch definitely has the bigger budget and bigger actors.

Another highly recommended British crime film is Layer Cake which was directed by Matthew Vaughn, the producer of Snatch and a few other Guy Ritchie films. Daniel Craig's great performance in Layer Cake is considered to be the one that helped him win the role of James Bond.

In Guy Ritchie's previous movie Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, people complained that they didn't understand a lot of the dialogue because of the accents. So in response, Guy Ritchie created a character who has an accent that no one within the movie understands.
I think this is one of the reasons for Brad Pitt's longevity. He doesn't always have to be the star. He plays great and often hilarious supporting characters like in True Romance, 12 Monkeys and The Big Short. Even my personal favorite of his Cliff Booth is a supporting role.
Also, possibly one of the greatest movie lines ever:
In the quiet words of the Virgin Mary, "come again?"

I recommend "Revolver" from 2005 for the next Guy Ritchie and of course "Rock N Rolla" .. For more Brad Pitt i recommend "Thelma & Louise" from 1991 with Geena Davies and Susan Sarandon and " Kalifornia" from 1993 !! My favorite Pitt is "Seven" , that you already watched on the Channel

This is Guy Ritchie's best film. And he's got some great bangers in his catalog.
