Anticipation for The Sopranos couldn't be higher! Not just my favourite SHOW of all time. My favourite ANYTHING of all time! I think Daniel said on Twitch that it will be 2 episodes a week, but that they will alternate seasons of The Sopranos with seasons of other shows (let's hope they get hooked and can't help watching more!)

Future Boy

The eyes Chico, they never lie 😁

dieselbeast

YAY! Thank you both for committing to that many seasons. Are you doing 1 or 2 episodes a week? I'm excited. Not only is it one of my all time favorite shows, I haven't done a full start to end rewatch in over 5 years. After the crummy summer I've had, this is amazing news. I knows it's dumb, but watching stuff with you guys, it's like watching stuff with some friends. I've watched your Die Hard With A Vengeance reaction about 4 times. 🤗🤗. It's just a lot of fun, that one lol

Donna Castellano

We have seen and love Mr. Robot! We watched it while it was airing! -Sam

I follow a few on Patreon. I'm long time Patreon for full length with the Scmitts and Shan Watches movies. Every few months, I'll add on James Vs Cinema and catch up with his full length content. I appreciate he does some smaller films, not as mainstream, quite often.

Donna Castellano

Raising Cain is great. My sister and I watched that movie all the time. Talk about another flick wwith a psycho Lithgow we watched a lot - Ricochet, with Denzel Washington. That movie was wild!

Donna Castellano

Agreed. I'm always curious as to why someone will take an excellent classic and do a remake when there are so many, many movies of the past with the potential to be great if they only had a better director or cast.

David Martin

Awesome. I do hope it's The Sopranos. One of my favorite shows. Haven't done a full rewatch in over 5 years tho.

Donna Castellano

All I'll say is if your concept of a 'hero' is only one singular stereotype then you're the one with issues. And yes, Mr. Robot is fucking awesome!

Jay

I never had a clue that it was "woke" or whatever, I just thought it was boring. I watched the first 3 episodes with this girl who loved it and I just couldn't for the life of me see why. Now guess it is possible. There's a lot of stuff that is kind of woke, but I think there's stuff that is woke in terms of having woke characters, then there's stuff where the entire movie is a massive propaganda campaign (ie: The Charmed reboot). There's also a lot of propaganda in The Boys.. Basically the main villains are one being a literal nazi and the other a psychopathic megalomaniac with an extremely fragile ego who constantly talks about the mainstream media lying and gives rallies and has followers which have a name (The Stormfronters or whatever).. Hmm.. That sounds familiar. And it's not just making fun of it (it makes fun of virtue signaling, A LOT) ... but the difference is when it basically uses really atrocious and appalling characters of the ABSOLUTE WORST KIND to parallel real life individuals who the media is on a non-stop rollercoaster ride telling their viewers to hate them, and then when you see characters like Stormfront being so blatantly evil and then having "Stormchasers" and Homelander having rallies it immediately creates a connection in the mind to real life people and the anger and hate from the evil acts on the show blend and blur onto the real life people as a confirmation of what is said about them. But if the show is good you can ignore all that and watch it KNOWING what it is and not have your values affected by it and just enjoy it as a good show. The Charmed Reboot and Mr. Robot (alleged as being woke by ChriZ) were absolutely.. well. I didn't give Mr. Robot a chance.. If they do put it on the channel I will watch it as oftentimes it helps to get through the lull of a slow beginning, but back the point the Charmed Reboot was just a complete waste of money and Internet bandwidth. For the studio and for the Internet. BTW, I REALLY would love to see Charmed (The OG with Alyssa Milano, Rose McGowan) on the channel.. Great series.. If they haven't watched it yet at least. I noticed they laughed at the Charmed reference in the reaction to something where Charmed was mentioned. someone talks about Alyssa Milano and Rose McGowan and the guy's like "Of course, I love Charmed!" .. It might have been Ashley in The Boys actually lol. But back to the point (again heh) sometimes I think people really read into things and call them woke when they're not. Also I think they seem to do a good job of keeping away from controversial topics in general.

Alex

@JJ: I know it must have had some popularity, just find it odd that nobody is ever talking about it considering what a high quaility show it is. Or maybe it's just my "bubble". 😅

ChriZ

I don't think he was trying to make this into anything by recommending that show. I think that he was just trying to recommend a good show. I haven't seen it, but who knows. Also, I'm sure there are a lot of other good channels. I think TBR and Sam just do things the way they want to do them.

Scott Kerr

ChriZ, Mr Robot was very popular in the US and won Emmys and Golden Globes. Weird you think not many know about it. I wouldn't be surprised if TBR has already seen it(they have seen a lot more movies/shows compared other reactors - they do watch shows they don't react to)

Birdie Num Num

@Beau Mont: Watch it. You might get surprised. It's automatically "woke propaganda" because the "hero" (I wouldn't call him that) is mentally ill and socially awkward? If that's how you define it, what's Rambo then? Or Batman? I don't like the sentiment of today's widespread "in your face"-woke culture probably as much as you do. And a big problem of shows like Mr. Robot is the prejudice of people who just hear certain buzzwords and immediately jump to negative conclusions. FYI: Yes, mental illness is a prominent theme in the show, but not in the way of, "We must feel sorry for those people, help and accept them. The hero will battle his demons, fight through, overcome his struggles and live happily ever after, 'cause everybody loves him now." None of that. Elliot is the unreliable narrator of the show, so his state of mind is used as a plot device to fuck with the audience's mind - very effectively, I might add - who he treats as imaginary friends, silent observers. Also, that show treats same-sex relationships as nothing special, like any other relationship. In fact, the sexual orientation of the "hero" - or anyone else for that matter - doesn't matter at all.

ChriZ

One reason why I like this channel is because they generally stay away from "Woke" stuff. The younger generation wants to make America as sad and depressing as Europe. The "hero" of Mr. Robot is in your own words "mentally ... challenged, socially awkward", I will stick with John Wayne and Rambo until I die. Please don't try to make this channel into just another "cancel culture" "Woke" platform, they are everywhere on youtube and Patreon. Lets encourage TBR and Sam to continue doing the stuff that other channels won't. And they are so funny and entertaining unlike the sadness in the the other channels. Thank you.

Beau Mont

MR. ROBOT Hello, friend. Maybe I became a patron just to suggest that show especially to you - who knows? 😁 It definitely won't win any polls, since not that many people know about it. Anyway, in short: Elliot, a mentally ... challenged, socially awkward hacker gets sucked into a group called fsociety who plots to take down the top 1% of the top 1%, redistribute wealth and free the people from debt - change the world, basically. Cinematography, editing, writing, soundtrack - there's a lot to enjoy about it. For the most part of its 4 seasons, it's a modern drama/thriller with some dark humor sprinkled in for good measure. No particular need to be especially tech savvy, although the creators really put some effort into making it authentic. An interest in psychology and the human factor of things is kind of mandatory, however. The whole show was shot AFTER the story was already written, so there're NO filler episodes, but a lot of heavy twists and turns. In my personal opinion, it's the #1 show ever created. I'm sure you'd appreciate it as well. Maybe you can find a free spot in your schedule to try it out. Greetings from Austria!

ChriZ

Another lesser but completely bonkers De Palma his fans should see is RAISING CAIN from 1992. John Lithgow hadn’t been that unhinged since TWILIGHT ZONE: THE MOVIE.

Jason Chirevas

Say Hello to my little Reaction!

Jason Dolan

Jason and Tim, you would probably enjoy this... if your channels have the same movie do a watch-a-long with each channel on a seperate device. i've watched a couple movies that way, and it was a blast each time.

YoureMrLebowski

I think they're going to start The Sopranos after they re-edit/re-upload The Godfather reactions.

Tim Raths

I heard rumor that it’s The Sopranos but I don’t remember any announcement from the Schmitts.

PIG

12 Angry Men this week. 👍👍. I was wondering, besides Cobra Kai next month, what is your next TV series you plan to watch?

Donna Castellano

Both the original and remake of 12 Angry Men are incredible. I think I like the original a little more, because it fits the time period better, but both are very good and worth watching.

Vwlss Nvwls

Oh man... Scarface. I remember my father rented this when I was 14 and it shocked me, but we both loved it. I have watched it many times since, and am still awe struck by it.

Vwlss Nvwls

Great Week !!! Both are Fantastic Movies !!! Another Great Al Pacino Movie is "Sea of Love" from 1989 wit Ellen Barkin and John Goodman ... Great Thriller !! Another Great Henry Fonda Movie is "The Boston Strangler" from 1968 With Tony Curtis

Florian Meier

The original Scarface from 1932 is also great.

Tyler Foster

Would love to see you guys’ watch “Kung Fury” from 2015. It’s a short movie found on YouTube and it did that well that a full length sequel is on the way with a bunch of Hollywood stars. It’s very 80’s style and cheesy and just hilarious. I’m sure others would love to see your reaction to it as well.

Tommy Richards

So excited for 12 Angry Men!

Jen Barnes

12 Angry Men has an amazing cast. Henry Fonda and some of the best character actors of their Era. An action movie where the dialog is the action

Smooticus

Scarface's Tony Montana is one angry man!

Guston Zimasheen

Ken Veader

12 Angry Men is in easy contention of greatest of all time film. I'm so excited for this reaction!

Future Boy

christopher brown

12 Angry men and Scarface? What a week!

Carlos Hurtado

Both are really good films. I can't wait to see the reactions!

Jeffrey Miller

Ha. I’m up to three, total. The slight irony of that is before this year I would have railed against the very concept of reaction videos. Now I get it, though you and I surely know not all channels are created equal.

Jason Chirevas

Hi Jason, I'm just curious. How many other channels do you follow on Patreon? Because I see you on the Popcorn in Bed page too.

Tim Raths

Scarface?? Yes!!! You have to do Carlitos way!!! Its easily one of the best Pacino movies ever with a great dynamic cast that includes Sean Penn!!!

Demos Samolis

SCARFACE!!!! 🙌🙏🙌🙏🙌

dieselbeast

Wait, what? DePalma did Carrie and Mission Impossible too? I never realized this. He has great range, this dude. (Shows how much I know about movies too, heh).
