I totally disagree. The majority of people who watched this film praised Channing Tatum's performance. You guys are in the minority. However, awesome reaction! Yall continue to knock it out of the park with your reactions!

That would be nice generally but not a prerequisite to OUATIH, I don’t think.

Another Great Reaction of you guys !!! You Really have to watch "Four Rooms" from 1995 ... IT's also a Co Production of Tarantino with a Great Cast (Tim Roth, Antonio Banderas, Bruce Willis, Tarantino himself ...) Another Great Kurt Russell Movies are The Cult Comedy "Overboard" from 1987 With his wife Goldie Hawn and "Unlawful Entry" from 1992 with Ray Liotta ... Both are already on your List

Before you watch Once Upon A Time In Hollywood id consider you guys to do just a quick wiki search on Charles Manson / Sharon Tate murder. The film will make more sense with a brief context when watching it

One thing I remember about this movie is the trailer from when it first came out. I remember watching a teaser for it and thinking "What in the world is this?! What a weird trailer!" But then I remembered that it was a Tarantino film and I thought "Hmm. Why question it? It's Tarantino. I bet it's good!" And obviously, I was right. Great movie!

As mentioned, Jennifer Jason Leigh was rightly nominated for an Oscar for this movie. If you want to see how wide her range is — and continue your Coen brothers journey — watch THE HUDSUCKER PROXY sooner rather than later. 😉👍

That was an antique Martin guitar worth around a quarter million. Kurt didn't realize that they hadn't switched it out. Jennifer's reaction is genuine horror.

I wholly agree. When I saw his name in the credits, I was kind of surprised. Then the character he played did not match his strengths as an actor at all. I think he's great in comedy and definitely can dance. This tho? Samantha was dead on saying he made Jody as a leader unbelievable.

Some symbolism I picked up on during this watch through: the focus on the black and white horses working together to "pull" Daisy kind of foreshadowing Marquis and Chris working together to pull her up to hang her. Probably reaching but knowing where the film was destined to end, that entered my mind when seeing that. Walton Goggins is such a great actor (Chris) and even when he's being a dick, he's somehow endearing. Chris definitely my favorite character in this one. Had me laughing and the team up with Marquis was the best.

Oh and also, Kurt Russell accidentally destroyed an antique guitar so Jennifer Jason Leigh's reaction in that moment is for real when he SMASHES the guitar against the wall!

Did you guys realize that the composer of this film, was the same composer for A FISTFUL OF DOLLARS, FOR A FEW DOLLARS MORE and THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY, among many other great films, but sort of the original Spaghetti Western Trilogy... but guess what, he finally won his first Oscar as a Composer for THE HATEFUL EIGHT! Jennifer Jason Leigh was also nominated for Best Supporting Actress so, Sam, you're validated for her being your favorite character in the movie, lol.

I love Tarantino films and ‘one room’ films (The Rope, Iron Maiden, 12 Angry Men) but I felt let down by this one.
In honor of this channel I will try it again. I might have a different opinion at the end with your help.

I’ll second the recs for BONE TOMAHAWK and Sam Raimi’s THE QUICK AND THE DEAD. There’s a small western called OLD HENRY from just a year or so ago that’s excellent. There’s also a galaxy of classic westerns out there waiting to be discovered…
El Dorado
High Noon
The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance
Once Upon a Time in the West
Rio Bravo
The Searchers
Stagecoach (1939)
Winchester ‘73
…are a good place to start.
You can trust me, I write westerns professionally. 😉👍

This is a long movie but it’s so much fun! Jennifer Jason Leigh is an amazing actress. The entire main cast was incredible (except Magic Mike). Really fun watching along with you guys!!

Slow-burning, intense dialogue, punctuated with occasional explosions of extreme violence, makes for a great reaction!
This is probably my favourite Tarantino cast after Jackie Brown. If you want to see more Jennifer Jason Leigh (Daisy), I recommend Single White Female (1992), a dark thriller also starring Bridget Fonda (from Jackie Brown).
And if you want to see more Bruce Dern (the General) I recommend The 'Burbs (1989), which I know is on your radar from way back. It's a great Tom Hanks horror/comedy that would work well in October!
Really enjoyed The Hateful Eight, and now looking forward to Robocop 2, which will be a very different kind of fun!

This movie also pays homage to the John Carpenter's The Thing (1982) starring Kurt Russel and scored by the great late Ennio Morricone. Part of The Thing score was also used in this movie, the eerie music mostly. I'm one hour in and I'm having a blast watching you being totally oblivious to what's coming 😂

Some other great westerns: 3:10 to Yuma (2007), Hostiles, Butch Cassidy, The Quick and the Dead. I also feel Cowboys & Aliens is quite underrated
