The Terminal List Season 1 Episode 4 'Detachment' Full TV Reaction!!

Comments

There was a Mediterranean pirate back in the day who was noted for slitting open the abdomen of a prisoner and nailing part of his intestines to a mast, then forcing him to dance until he died.

Aaron Barlow

The axes are used for breaching and 'un-alive-ing' Lol

Aaron Barlow

Good to see Captain Matthews from Dexter in this.

Aaron Barlow

in case someone wants to get a gut reaction to this...https://youtu.be/0MLv01Pqi-I?t=211

FYI...I was sort of upset when it looked like Reese used his tomahawk and it LOOKED like he left it stuck in post. I am going to assume he picked it up after he pulled the guts out cause that is a very expensive custom tomahawk...Winkler SAYOC Compact RnD Tribal Maple Tomahawk. $890.00 ..well IRL.

Anthony Perez

Well that was… graphic.

I got seriously sick from being exposed to Agent Orange in Vietnam. I almost died as it compromised my immune system. Nasty stuff with far reaching ecological impact.

Guston Zimasheen

Maybe that's what Tim Kennedy was talking about referencing the show. Also the people that were on boats off-shore of Japan when they dropped the bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki were told they were at a safe distance but many of them got cancer.

Alex

Yes, was The Fugitive. I am sure this stuff happens in real life all the time, and similar cover ups. When people talk about this kind of stuff a lot of times the word conspiracy is thrown around but the other day someone told me this, and it's interesting.. If you think about it, it's not a conspiracy. It's just business. A conspiracy is when a bunch of people get together to do something. But an agenda where it's more important to make sure that you keep buying drugs, for ex. is just business. It's not a conspiracy it's just how business works. If a company stops selling products it goes out of business. You can see this in glasses and lenses. Various medications where the focus is always to alleviate symptoms but rarely ever to actually fix the root cause. Tim Kennedy was saying something about this show I can't remember what he said about it but I think he's friends with the author. They all keep in the same circles all being Special Forces. I'm sure there are issues depicted in the show which real-life SpecOps guys have to face.

Oh wow! I've heard of some, but not all of these. Absolutely terrible -sam

TBR Schmitt

Oh gross! We haven't seen that! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

The military has a long history of testing drugs on soldiers and lying to them. There's a massive class action lawsuit against the military because the anti-malarial pill they've been using since the 1950s turns out to cause symptons similar to PTSD and the military has known about this. Agent Orange in Vietname. My dad was in the Gulf War back in 90s and they were all given an experimental anti-nerve gas drug and a lot of veterans of that war got lung cancer. So its interesting that a vet would use that as the plot for this central story.

Reed James

the pulling out of guts was done in Lonesome Dove...Blue Duck would pull out the intestines while captive was alive and leave them tied to post so they could watch animals come and eat their guts as they died. Sorta gruesome but if you don't have internet you have to do what you can to keep yourself entertained.

Anthony Perez

Steve is such a poser I have secondhand embarrassment for him.

Jen Barnes

Watch the first episode of the tv show Vikings. The main character captures his enemy and then tied him to a tree. Then slices the gut pulls out the intestines and walks away to leave him to die.

Jason Mangen

The guy playing Steve was the evil dude in the first Jack Reacher movie and also plays Bruce Willis’ son in the last Die Hard.
