I agree. We slowly see Terry Silver turning into the guy from "Karate Kid III". He knew that he was going to get that reaction from Daniel and it was clearly done to psychologically torture him. Kreese did the same thing with Johnny.

Johnny did EXACTLY what Silver and Kreese wanted which was for Johnny and Daniel to fight amongst themselves. Divide and conquer.
