Comments

The Last Boy Scout and Crimson Tide were both directed by the same guy, but LBS is WAY better.

Brian Nau

True Romance is a classic film, written by Tarantino, with a great cast of "soon to be big" stars!!

Chris Bruneau

I'll check it out but I would really love to see Sam and Daniel do both Buffy and Angel. They would totally love it. It's hard to express when you can't really talk about the shows but when I saw Reacher I was like damn I haven't seen a character do as much badass stuff as some of the stuff Angel did in Angel. (outside of Quentin Tarantino movies, of course). It's weird that people write it off as this teen romance when it's like at this point having seen the entirety of both series I have to be reminded of the romance in it just coz the show just doesn't even revolve around that. It's like calling Cobra Kai some teen romance show because Miguel and Sam fall in love like. It's a lot more than that. But TBH if they would have to pick just one show to watch from the 90s, Buffy and Angel (they're both intertwined and part of each other) is the one to watch hands down. Some of the best characters ever created. Charles Gunn. And then the level of growth of all the characters and the way they weave them in and out of the two shows perfectly, it's not just a spinoff but storylines are very relevant and will migrate from one show to the other and back again. I would say this. Watch it through the end of season 2. If you're not convinced by then. Then you probably won't be convinced. But I honestly believe Daniel and Sam will love it just as much as Cobra Kai. It's not nonstop bam bam bam bam bam like nonstop perfection every second like Cobra Kai.. Shows back then they throw in episodes about random stuff to force you to wait to see what happens in the main story arc. Darn it man I can't say anything else about it. You just gotta watch it :) There are a couple other ppl I've seen react to Cobra Kai.. I like this dude The Appleton Oak.. but honestly I love Daniel and Sam.

Alex

Alexander, Thor Reacts is doing Buffy. He's a good reactor. Thoughtful and pays attention to what he's watching. He did a few reacts of his own with his brother and cousin who are White Noise Reacts.

Donna Castellano

Also, the director of True Romance, Tony Scott, has done some truly remarkable action films, several of which I've already recommended, with "The Last Boy Scout" (with Bruce Willis), "Man on Fire" (with Denzel Washington) and "Crimson Tide" (with Denzel and Gene Hackman) being some of his best.

Steven Montano

True Romance?! They musta thought it was White Boy Day!!!! (Can't wait. That was my actually my first Tarantino film, and remains one of my all-time faves.)

Steven Montano

Intense but hysterically funny…….so good.

Jim Tatro

Yep, and then there's Angel, and shows had a lot more episodes back then per season. There are a LOT of shows that I think you guys would really love from back then so it's definitely worth watching them at some point. And you're not gonna be doubling up on 'em either like Cobra Kai lol since each episode is 45 minutes.. I'm not really expecting to see it on the channel coz it got gets a lot of hate but if you ever did reactions for cash I would pay $100, $200 or even $300 to see you guys do it. But I know you guys would love it, while I'm watching it now I hear you guys in my head like how I imagine you would react to it from seeing your reactions to various characters in Cobra Kai particularly :) Charmed is another good show with powerful female leads. Dr. Quinn also another good one. A female doctor in a small town in the 1800s where women weren't even typically allowed into medical school but she got her degree from an all woman's medical school started her own practice in the West. It's basically a Western.

Alex

It was confusing for me but I see they post the same schedule image on Instagram, so it makes sense.

Alex

Richard Flanagan

TBR - you need to dive into some STEVE MCQUEEN and CHARLES BRONSON films --- BULLITT - THE GETAWAY - TOWERING INFERNO - THE MAGNIFICENT 7 ------ DEATH WISH 1 & 2, THE EVIL THAT MEN DO , 10 TO MIDNIGHT - THE DIRTY DOZEN

dw

Ok! 😁 looking forward to more Cobra Kai this week!

dieselbeast

No worries, Ian! I'm sure we'll catch you next time :) We have seen Holes and National Treasure though! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Aww not a moron! I'm going to go ahead and stop posting the YouTube schedules here while we work on getting ahead on Patreon :) -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Yes, Michael is correct! The Theatrical Version was literally no where to be found, we searched everywhere! So we did the Director's Cut/Uncut! We did look up the differences after watching and it looks like it came down to one scene not being in the theatrical, but being included in the director's! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

I'm watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer over again and I gotta say I think you guys would both love the show. I watched the movie as well. I would skip the movie, it's terrible. The show really picks up on the 2nd season onwards but the first season is good. It's just one of those shows that it takes a few episodes to really pick up, and it's also the style of show where there's both an overarching season-long story but there are also episodes which are just stories in themselves, which is how most shows used to be in the 90s and 2000s. But yea I think you guys will love it. Incredible fight scenes in every episode (much better in 2nd season, think Cobra Kai season 1 vs. season 2 and later seasons), and the acting is really good and there will be emotions of all kinds. I know I'll get a lot of hate here but whatever. lol. And also it's one of a few shows in the late 90s, 2000s which have a totally badass female main character. You honestly will have a hard time finding someone more of a badass than Buffy when it comes to kicking ass. I feel like it gets a bunch of undue hate because people dismiss it as just being like trashy teen romance but it's waay more than that. Also has some of the best villains. I don't want to give details but some of these villains would win an award for the most sadistically evil villain ever. I don't wanna give it away but there really are no villains in any movie that are a better villain than some of the villains in Buffy.

Alex

This movie is a STAPLE in film excellence

Byron Easley

The Director's Cut is the only version of the film that has been released on DVD/BluRay. The violence in the film had to be cut back to be released in theaters. This "Uncut" version restores that back. Most people have been watching the Director's Cut all these years without knowing it.

Michael Chavira

True romance is so good that reaction is going to be a belter πŸ™‚ missed the cobra Kai reactions last week so much so great it's bk πŸŽ‰ wondering if holes is on your list and the two national treasure movies πŸ€” was so sleep when I noticed you were on twitch I had to chose sleep sry guys

Ian

True Romance! I absolutely love that you're going to react to this movie. Can't wait to watch along with you.

Gary Giaimo

I've always liked Hard Rain. I also like Broken Arrow a lot (also Christian Slater). Both are a lot of fun with great casts.

Future Boy

Don't feel too bad.. Lawrence of Arabia is without a doubt an excellent classic film but I've never watched True Romance - so we're both going in blind this week. :)

Logan Kerlee

Stoked about Lawrence of Arabia! It's a movie that my dad introduced to me many years ago. I'm looking forward to your reaction of it. :)

Logan Kerlee

Yessssss! True Romance!

Philip Alan

Yes, loving this schedule especially because finally someone reacts to True Romance! I think they'll love it, it's a great 90s ride and a great celebrities fest to boot.

Joe D. MacGuffinstuff

ah ok πŸ˜„ thank you this moron is no longer confused πŸ€¦πŸ˜‚

dieselbeast

Hey! This is the YouTube schedule, we try to get uploads to Patreon in advanced :) -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Confused on Wednesday will a different movie be uploaded, LOA was uploaded this past Wednesday πŸ€”

dieselbeast

Theatrical, please.

Uncle 'Traveling' Matt

Finally a reaction to "TRUE ROMANCE". I haven't seen that on ANY reaction channel I subscribe to yet. Score more points for Sam and Dan! πŸ˜πŸ‘Œ There is a director's cut. Will you be reacting to this or the theatrical?

Mr. Writhms

Jackie Brown *MIGHT* just be my favorite QT movie, with the cast, the soundtrack, the character interactions... yeah, it's definitely up there

Sarah

I know you guys are trying to get Patreon a week ahead but it feels like it's been a million years since I've seen a Cobra Kai react. (I know it's not literally a million years, it just feels that way lol)

Donna Castellano

I've never actually seen LAWRENCE OF ARABIA. I know I should be ashamed. TRUE ROMANCE however, especially, the unrated version, is great. What a great week you got planned.

Philip Davetas

I have never considered True Romance to be a "Tarantino" film in the sense. It was written by him sure, but its definitely a Tony Scott film, like Domino. Its definitely different from Tarantino actually being in the drivers chair.

Erich Bomke

Another Great Dennis Hopper Movies who's Missing in the List are "Easy Rider" from 1969, "Hoosiers" from 1986 and "Waterworld" from 1995

Florian Meier

I love True Romance !! Especially Dennis Hopper and Christopher Walken are great in this !! Another Great Christian Slater Movie is "Hard Rain" from 1998 with Morgan Freeman and Robin Hood from 1991 with Kevin Costner

Florian Meier

Just repeating my recommendation for 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi.

David Crabtree

I think you guys would really like Jackie Brown.

Ellie Miller

Glad you guys are doing more Tarantino, hopefully you get to Jackie Brown and Death Proof

Ken Veader

True Romance is one of my favorite movies ever, it’s my favorite QT script and the cast is incredible. The scene with Hopper and Walken is one of the greatest acting heavyweight battles of all time. Can’t wait!!!

Jim Tatro

True Romance. what a film

Nick Sneddon

True Romance! ❀ Sicilans are great liars, the best...in the world

Jonathan Patrick
