Cobra Kai Season 2 Episode 2 'Back in Black' Full TV Reaction!!

Cobra Kai Season 2 Episode 2 'Back in Black' Full TV Reaction!!

Comments

I don't think Daniel thinks like that. You can see when Robby tells Daniel "When my dad finds out what we're doing he's gonna lose his mind," that Daniel was not approving of this way of thinking. The whole thing was pretty much done in Daniel's mind I think until he saw Kreese. The moment he saw Kreese that was like the dick on the billboard volume 2.

Alex

Kreese would have used it against Johnny though.

Alex

Yeah, but unfortunately, PTSD doesn't always work out like that. Daniel's been through a lot with Kreese AND Johnny, with Cobra Kai in general, so I can understand why he acts on impulse when anything involves them, especially with Robby. I think deep down, he thinks he's getting back at Johnny by essentially adopting his son and subliminally saying "Yeah, look, Johnny, I'm a better father than you!"

EdmanXERO

The real question is did the Hardware guy have any influence on whether Caddyshack will be watched on this channel lol. It's been a long time but I don't really remember the gopher or the dance or the sound he made lol.

Alex

Yeah and you can definitely tell by the facial expression especially Hawk when Johnny is putting them on blast that he clearly does not understand that what he did is wrong. I think maybe a better word than popular would be to just be accepted in general, and not relegated to have to sit at a table with kids who are rejected by most of the kids. Not everyone's like Yasmin but your status in high school matters in terms of being able to make friends. And ONLY in high school lol. Some adults still act like they're in high school lol

Alex

Ehh I still don't love the use of the word "popular", but that may be just me. I love Amanda and I think she's definitely the glue that holds their family together, but I still feel the same about the first time we saw her. I don't think Hawk or Miguel are bad kids deep down, but they were definitely heading in the wrong directions at the end of last season! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Agreed!! They're both hot heads though, but I hope eventually they can start to see each other's perspectives! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

I agree! These two are the worst at communicating with each other! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Definitely! Kreese's involvement cannot be good! Can't wait to watch more! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Thank you, Donna! These characters are so dimensional! I can't wait to see where each of their own stories take them! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Haha true! You want them to talk it all out, but then we wouldn't have four awesome seasons to get through! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Thank you, Ian! His car looks incredible! -Sam

TBR Schmitt

Yay! Thank you, Jonathon! -Sam

This is another one of those episodes where people need to just suck it up and talk to each other. I know Daniel was angry when he saw Kreese, but he should have set it aside and talked to Johnny about Robbie. I don't think that conversation would have turned out well, but it would have been better than just walking off angry.

Vwlss Nvwls

Even if he didn't pose it as a question, Daniel still should have at least said "Robbie's home issue has worsened and is going to be staying with me"

Erich Bomke

I totally agree. ALL of the kids go through highs and lows of good and bad behavior, sometimes they act like idiots, sometimes they really come through. Just like REAL teenagers. I like that there are no terrible kids, they all have reasons.

Jen Barnes

Kreese's appearance in Season 2 definitely has turned up the heat and intensity. I know that some people feel like this season wasn't their favorite, and it's not mine either, but by no means is this a bad season. Not in the least, it's a very good season and so many new stories to build on from the first season. I really think you both are going to enjoy this and want to dive right into Season 3.

Jeff Mills

I always say this, but I am so appreciative that you both understand Samantha's and Robby's respective situations. I think it's because I like both characters a lot but where I am in the Fandom, people are non-stop trashing on them. For stuff that, as you said, are mistakes that make these characters well-rounded and dimensional. So it's refreshing to get your reviews and you talk about why Sam and Robby are the way they are. You're gonna love Miguel again this season too. And it's because of the unique relationship he has with Johnny that gives him the perspective he has during it. (I know I may have mentioned he's my favorite character. ๐Ÿ˜) Still looking forward to your reaction to an upcoming character. I can't remember which episode this person debuts in, it may be ep 3.

Donna Castellano

That kinda stuff always happens in real life too though. When you wait for the "right time" to talk about stuff or to do something, that's when stuff like that happens. Like Robby had all this time he could have gone to Cobra Kai to try to connect with his dad but he didn't do it and finally when he went to do it he saw his dad bonding with Miguel.

Alex

Yep, just when you think things are gonna get any better for any of the characters, certain circumstances always mess it up. XD But then again, we wouldn't have a show if things got resolved. Haha. Man, Robby needs a break. They all do.

EdmanXERO

Great reactions guys I say it a lot but I truly love your outros ๐Ÿ˜ good start to season 2 Johnny's new car paint job looks fantastic AC/DC๐Ÿค˜ Metallica ๐Ÿค˜ gotta love that , how have they not got the worst cement burns ๐Ÿ˜ฌ , kreese yeah kreese can't stand that guy ๐Ÿ˜ƒ anyways really enjoyable guys looking forward to continuing next week thanks again ๐Ÿ‘Œ

I think that Amanda's not being quite understood in the beginning. She was doing the same thing she's doing now. Daniel was like.. I don't think Daniel went overboard per se with how he reacted to Sam having a party. I have seen parents react much worse, but I think that Amanda prevented him from going overboard with a punishment, as she has been helping to temper Daniel's hotheadedness during the show. Amanda had no idea how bad Yasmin and Kyler were. She didn't know they were bad people/kids/etc. She just knows that kids want to be popular and have friends in school and she didn't see how bad these kids were, and really it was only Yasmin and Kyler. Moon via guilt by association I guess but you see that Moon is actually a good person. But once she found out about Yasmin she was like "Maybe it's better this way," when Sam was saying how they didn't invite her to the concert. It's kind of like Hawk how he was always the nerd and picked on. Not just picked on but terrorized and so now he has peoples' respect and he's the cool guy. He doesn't want to be the center of attention but he definitely doesn't want to go back to being the nerd that people make fun of, and that's why he told Demetri "Hey cool it with the nerd shit." He doesn't want people to know about that because he doesn't want people to start making fun of him again, and it is something that can and does happen. Not only would kids make fun of him, but they would say he's a poser, like he's fake. It would be even worse. I think Amanda was trying to get Daniel to realize that kids want to be popular like.. They wanna be liked.. Not like the center of attention or something like that but just.. be accepted and not exiled or picked on, coz kids can be incredibly cruel. Even in the beginning I think Amanda was spot on she just had no idea those kids were bad, like how Daniel and Sam didn't either. I think it's probably a good idea that Daniel didn't bring up Robby actually coz if you think about it, the last thing that Johnny needs is a weakness that Kreese can take advantage of. If he would have talked to him in front of Kreese it would've been pretty bad. That was a good question did Johnny think Kreese was dead from the first time. But yeah apparently Kreese likes to fake his own death. I know characters that faked their own death once in the span of a series but Kreese is the only one who's done it multiple times. lol Also I wanna point out how, just as something maybe you guys may not have noticed but when Hawk was hazing the new kids Miguel had a super "nice guy" tone when he said "He's just kidding around," which shows that Miguel is definitely "on the softer side of Sears" or err.. Cobra Kai :) I was waiting the whole time though for you guys to see them get called out and punished.. That was very good and they needed to hear that because there's nothing bad ass about doing anything to someone in the back.

Alex

Itโ€™s awesome to see you guys are rolling through into the next seasons without breaks! Canโ€™t wait to watch the rest with you both!๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
