He's rough around the edges or whatever, but Johnny Lawrence is all heart on the inside. He just doesn't jibe with this awful softness that's so prevalent these days in a lot of people. A little toughness is just what those kids need and it serves them well.

2022-02-28 22:11:02 +0000 UTCYeah Hawk is one of my favorite characters and it hits really close to home, coz ten years ago I flipped the script and changed my entire appearance and everything and I actually got a mohawk same color. Well the color evolved initially I didn't dye my hair. And massive confidence came from this, and that's actually Alexander Rose ... That's not my real name that's the identity I created. And yeah it's true that you have to be flexible in your teaching methods coz not everyone is going to react positively to the same kind of stuff. I learned this from a mentor who every time I was in a class with him if we didn't answer a question immediately he would make us do pushups and I had noticed much later I was helping him with one and he never did that not even once, and I asked him and he said "You have to know when to use certain things to teach when it will work and when it will not work, and for these guys that's not the right approach." I feel like it worked for Hawk, like he probably ran out saying "I hate this I hate the way I look" but then Johnny's words stuck in his head and he probably thought about how to change it. And he did it right. He didn't just change the way he looks but he also changed his mental state and behavior, which is important. You can't just change your clothes or something, it also has to be mental or you're going to instantly revert to the old person when someone challenges your reality.

It's so great seeing how much you are both loving this show I wonder when first reading all the comments saying you gotta react to this show you had any idea you would enjoy it this much I know when I first watched I wasn't expecting much and boy was o wrong 🙂 great way to start the week thanks guys you're amazing
