TV Show Poll
Added 2022-02-27 04:21:40 +0000 UTCHi Everyone! So, we have TV shows planned for the next few months with new season releases coming out. We have 12 weeks between the end of Midnight Mass and the start of Stranger Things - Season 4, so we need a short series that we can fit in that time. We've read your messages and we've received recommendations for Arcane (Netflix, 9 Episodes) and for Reacher (Amazon, 8 Episodes). We'd love your feedback on which show we should watch after Midnight Mass!
*Note: We'll likely do both, but we only have 12 weeks in between, so we'd like to know what you want to see first. This show will run simultaneously with Cobra Kai.*

List the Episode titles and let us pick 3 from the first 3 seasons and one from Season 4 for 10 episodes. Each episode is under 30 minutes so you could do 2 a week like you are doing for Cobra Kai. I do hope you guys continue watching Cobra Kai's other seasons.

2022-03-01 17:45:14 +0000 UTCI'm aware of Reacher but haven't watched it. Never heard of Arcane at all. There are so many good older shows. I'd live to see something classic on the channel. Finding one that doesn't go for many seasons can be a challenge though. There are a lot of really great British shows from the past in comedy and drama. Fawlty Towers is the greatest sitcom ever, starring Monty Python's John Cleese. Plus it's only twelve half hour episodes.

2022-02-28 19:52:08 +0000 UTCI don’t know anything about Arcane other than my friend loved it. I suspect it’s not my thing. I watched and enjoyed Reacher BUT it’s pretty violent. It sounds like it’s very true to the books (I think there are like 20 of them). The character is kind of like Batman without the costume—solving a mystery and dishing out vigilante justice along the way.

2022-02-28 16:37:22 +0000 UTCDon't know if you want to do comedies or not, but Teenage Bounty Hunters is hilarious with some amazing writing and performances. And Medical Police (a continuation of the Adult Swim series Children's Hospital) is sidesplitting, absurd humor. Both are on Netflix.

2022-02-27 20:23:03 +0000 UTCReacher broke a couple of bones, so maybe it had more marrow?... To be fair, I've only seen a bit of Arcane, and some opinions are that it's artistically beautiful but very insubstantial and by he numbers story-wise. However enough people seem to like it.

2022-02-27 20:20:24 +0000 UTCCan we have more choices? There are tons of other great TV shows. "His Dark Materials." True Detective Season3, The Expanse, Vikings season 1-3, Jack Ryan (Amazon), MArvelous Ms. Mazel, Westworld. Use the 2 shows per edit to knock them out at a faster rate.

Also if you guys ever have time for longer shows in the future, just gonna throw out the period epic Black Sails as a suggestion. A true hidden gem that should belong in the convo with shows like Breaking Bad. The story feels like a classic piece of literature with some of the greatest characters ever written.

They are all addicted to crime podcasts so they join together to find out if it was actually a murder and possibly solve the crime. Really funny and like Rear Window, it's a mystery you'll get pulled into. Hello Sam!

And you don't have to know anything about the game to get into it. It does a great job of introducing you to the world and its characters.
