2021-12-14 17:57:38 +0000 UTCDefinitely any of them except Heat. Cuckoo....
MizD (SueSnellLives!)
2021-12-12 16:17:22 +0000 UTCHeat? Really? So many other great choices here, but maybe it has something to do with the lack of reactions on YouTube of Heat.
Elliot G.
2021-12-07 01:10:42 +0000 UTCA Beautiful Mind is a great drama and a true story...worth checking out
CoffeeloverJoel
2021-12-06 19:45:02 +0000 UTCA really underrated film that really hasn’t been reacted to is End of Watch. Really well done movie, Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena do amazing jobs
Nolan schwab
2021-12-01 05:16:04 +0000 UTCHello and Greetings from Germany !! A good Suggestion for Drama is As Good As it Gets !! Great Oscar Winning Performance from Jack Nicholson ... Also a Very Good One is " Kramer vs Kramer" Dustin Hoffman and Meryl Street are Brilliant in this Movie
Florian Meier
2021-11-26 17:03:39 +0000 UTCI feel like they should also do polls by the decade. Mixing decades like this means that newer movies will almost always win.
Chris
2021-11-24 05:27:28 +0000 UTCTaxi Driver is dead last, once again :( It will NEVER win a poll with this crowd... but I implore you... please choose it on your own! Joker (2019) was just Taxi Driver modded with DC skins and a diluted storyline :|
Uncle 'Traveling' Matt
2021-11-24 02:32:38 +0000 UTCAnother suggestion for the polls would be Man On Fire (2004).
Uncle 'Traveling' Matt
2021-11-23 06:46:16 +0000 UTCHa, if Grace Kelly and Jimmy Stewart aren’t flashy stars, no one is!
Catherine LW
2021-11-22 16:23:20 +0000 UTCOnly the Brave starring Josh Brolin and Miles Teller.
Mark M
2021-11-22 15:43:49 +0000 UTCFor drama/thriller, I would definitely recommend Insomnia (2002). It's a Christopher Nolan film and it is quite chilling.
Scott Kerr
2021-11-22 15:39:38 +0000 UTCMe too. It was like watching a real person, not a movie.
PIG
2021-11-22 04:18:32 +0000 UTC“There Will Be Blood” contains one of the greatest, IMO, lead performances of any movie, ever. I didn’t find the overall story compelling enough for multiple viewings, but Daniel Day Lewis knocked it out of the park. Hell, he knocked it out of the county.
Warren H
2021-11-22 02:20:49 +0000 UTCSuggestion: There Will Be Blood (2007) Jagten (2012)
PIG
2021-11-21 22:26:16 +0000 UTCSome drama selections for the future?: The Count of Monte Christo (2001) Lawless The Place Beyond the Pines 😀✌️
2021-11-21 21:58:02 +0000 UTCYou could totally repurpose 3 of those on a “crime” poll: Heat, LA Confidential, & Rear Window. 🤷🏻♀️ BTW, if any of y’all have seen Rear Window, check out Home Movies Season 4 Episode 11.
Damiana_Dimock
2021-11-21 19:20:41 +0000 UTCIt's neither here nor there, but I found Heat to be very dull.
Chris
2021-11-21 18:03:23 +0000 UTCAs well as Spike Lee's Malcolm X - with another stunning performance from Denzel Washington.
Neal Romanek
2021-11-21 17:13:39 +0000 UTCPlease consider Do the Right Thing (1989) for future polls.
Uncle 'Traveling' Matt
2021-11-21 17:11:08 +0000 UTCDefinitely a case of an embarrassment of riches here. I hope you'll be able to get to all of them. I'm - predictably - going old skoolz and voting for Rear Window.
Neal Romanek
2021-11-21 17:07:16 +0000 UTCTry again, Tic Toc Melody. "The Untouchables" is about Federal Agents TAKING DOWN AL Capone. "Key Largo" is about ordinary people struggling AGAINST the crime lord. In neither case were the gangsters lionized, romanticized, or made more likeable, in an attempt to "understand" them better. Honestly, if you haven't seen the films, or can't comprehend the difference between those two films and, say, The Godfather", "Gooodfellas", or a myriad of other gangster as protagonist film, then I can't help you.
Miles E Coburn
2021-11-21 15:22:00 +0000 UTCWhich you keep repeating, ad nauseam—almost like you think you can make it true. 😁 c’mon now, take the bait…in all seriousness, though, Rear Window is incredibly good, though (for me) I always thought “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” to be a fairly anemic translation of the book. Full of great performers but just seemed watered down to me.
Warren H
2021-11-21 06:15:57 +0000 UTCYou should be surprised either of those movies are in the running: they're the weakest , most formulaic movies on the list, by far.
Toc
2021-11-21 05:21:25 +0000 UTCYou don't understand "American public's fascination with gangster-type films" and then you suggest "The Untouchables" (which is really not very good), and "Key Largo".? PS: I guess you missed British gangster films like "Mona Lisa", "The Long Good Friday", "Get Carter", "In Bruges", "Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels", ad infiniutm....
Tic Toc Melody
2021-11-21 05:19:58 +0000 UTCAs opposed to the other movies? LA Confidential (and Heat) are the weakest movies on this list, by far. ("Rear Window", on the other hand, is definitely the greatest, but with "Cuckoo's Nest" and "Taxi Driver" not too far behind. The others are way more formulaic compared to those three.) (They're all worthy of doing, though.)
Tic Toc Melody
2021-11-21 05:11:39 +0000 UTCInsanity. LA Confidential any day of the week.
Jen Barnes
2021-11-21 04:51:21 +0000 UTCHeat gets a lot of buzz because DeNiro/Pacino together at last. That in itself kinda blows people back on their heels. The thing is, neither is particularly good in it. Pacino is overacting through much of it. "I'm ACTING here!" DeNiro plays "Generic DeNiro Crime Character." Almost nobody else in it does much better. (To be fair to all the actors, they don't get any help from the script.) Kilmer comes out alright. Judd has some nice moments. Amy Brenneman is fine. Overall, Heat is an okay movie. It doesn't suck, but it isn't a standout, either. For me.

2021-11-21 02:16:51 +0000 UTCI know, right? I'm stumped, I don't get it.
Mike LL
2021-11-20 18:08:42 +0000 UTCHeat is beating LA Confidential? Seriously? 😄
Warren H
2021-11-20 16:23:37 +0000 UTCCan you add Trainspotting (1996) to your poll/list. An iconic 90’s movie.
Lee
2021-11-20 15:11:24 +0000 UTCNever got the American public's fascination with gangster-type films. I chose "Rear Window" (can't go wrong with Hitchcock). But there are a lot to choose from (i.e. "Key Largo" (1948), "Casablanca" (1942), "The Untouchables" (1987), "Fail Safe" (1964), etc.).
Miles E Coburn
2021-11-20 13:45:45 +0000 UTCIt would be a "crime" if you didn't eventually watch both LA Confidential and Rear Window. I know Heat has all the flashy stars, but watch both L.A. C and RW and watch the constellations come out.
Mike LL
2021-11-20 12:54:49 +0000 UTCMe too, hopefully they’ll get to it sooner or later because it’s su good.
2021-11-20 10:34:16 +0000 UTCFor the love of God and all that is pure please do Rear Window, you’ll be amazed at how much the mystery of the story will get to you.
2021-11-20 10:32:41 +0000 UTCI noticed you have a lot Scorsese movies on the channel, cant miss Taxi Driver ;)
David Hron
2021-11-20 08:41:37 +0000 UTCUhh...THE BLUES BROTHERS is definitely not a drama, haha.
Patrick Flanagan
2021-11-20 07:32:03 +0000 UTCDefinitely a comedy
Jason Dolan
2021-11-20 07:28:47 +0000 UTCThe Blues Brothers. Although I'm not great at classifying movies so not sure if it is considered a drama or not. I grew up watching the Blues Brothers over and over, but haven't watched it in a few years.
Forrest
2021-11-20 07:18:14 +0000 UTCI like "Stand By Me" for its aching nostalgia and realism. The others seem more like hyper reality. Like many stories crammed into one story to make a single narrative. Kinda like when someone tells you a crazy real life story and then someone else tries to one up that with on of their own and so on. Then a screen writer is like, " let's put all of that in a single screenplay." Each of the others have that vibe imo.
Christian Rennie
2021-11-20 07:06:18 +0000 UTCHEAT!!!!

2021-11-20 06:19:34 +0000 UTCMy personal watch preference is: LA Confidential Heat Rear Window Taxi Driver One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest Stand By Me But don't get me wrong, these are ALL masterpieces
Jason Dolan
2021-11-20 06:07:45 +0000 UTCLA Confidential (1997). Heat isn't a drama.
Tyrone Tyrone
2021-11-20 06:05:53 +0000 UTCJust when I thought LA Confidential was going to win... you added HEAT to the poll, lol
Jason Dolan
2021-11-20 06:03:06 +0000 UTCThis is a tough one. I'm gonna go for the Heat, but I'm pretty sure you're going to watch all of those eventually. Great stuff!
David Lengyel
2021-11-20 05:51:09 +0000 UTCWould love to suggest Good Will Hunting, Sicario, and The Usual Suspects. These are some of my absolute favorites. Highly recommend.
justDRK
2021-11-20 05:23:14 +0000 UTCTough poll, all great films in their own way.
justDRK
2021-11-20 05:16:16 +0000 UTCRear Window is the best out of all of them but it won’t win. 😩
Catherine LW
2021-11-20 05:01:12 +0000 UTCMan it's tough when you like all the choices, I'm liking that Heat is winning because you have to see that movie, but I also say the same thing about Stand By Me and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
Joe D. MacGuffinstuff
2021-11-20 04:47:48 +0000 UTCMore great choices!
Smooticus
2021-11-20 04:41:15 +0000 UTCEvery entry is an essential flick. No losers here.
Mitchell Smilie
2021-11-20 04:40:48 +0000 UTCThe Accused- Powerful drama starring Jodie Foster who I believe Won an Oscar for this role. Love to have you add this one the future polls.
Jeff
2021-11-20 04:40:16 +0000 UTCThe Fugitive - This is another great drama/action movie and if you haven’t seen it love to have you add it to future polls. Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones star
Jeff
2021-11-20 04:38:53 +0000 UTCCuckoos Nest because it is a good story.
Faron Henderson
2021-11-20 04:38:38 +0000 UTCInternational law dictates: "Heat" overrides any poll. I'm pretty sure that's right.
Mr. Writhms
2021-11-20 04:38:04 +0000 UTCHeat and Stand By Me you have to see regardless.
Rudy Hernandez
2021-11-20 04:33:28 +0000 UTC"Cuckoo's Nest" and "Taxi Driver" will always cancel each other out. One is Nicholson, one is De Niro, both are two of their most iconic performances. And "Rear Window" too! I'd vote for any of those three. Those three are movies every film buff has to get under their belt! "Stand By Me" is very good as well, and the other two are good. A good poll! But "Cuckoo's Nest" (which I voted for), "Taxi Driver" and definitely "Rear Window" are in the upper echelon of all-time classics!
Tic Toc Melody
2021-11-20 04:31:56 +0000 UTCL.A. Confidential!
David Martin
2021-11-20 04:31:32 +0000 UTC“Choose one”?! 😂 Gotta be Taxi Driver then.
