Two super underrated J Carpenter movies: Christine and Starman.

Odd Thomas

IDK how Raging Bull ended up on the channel...BUT I CAN'T WAIT! It's one of the so-called "big 3", that make the argument for Scorsese having made the best film of the 70s, 80s, and 90s (Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, and Goodfellas respectively). It is not an easy watch...but a complex masterpiece. Looking forward to watching along.

But Taxi Driver is even more brutal.

Neal Romanek

Loved the Big Trouble reaction. Consider watching Buckaroo Banzai, which plays almost like a sequel - or prequel - or something. It's got the same oddball action humor and features familiar faces: Jeff Goldblum, John Lithgow, Peter Weller (aka Robocop), and Clancy Brown.

Neal Romanek

Beautiful movie.

Neal Romanek

I love the 2016 Ghostbusters remake. It's a deliberately feminist take on the material and it's hilarious. But Bill Murray's Venkman would have hated it.

Neal Romanek

Absolutely Freaks & Geeks. Landmark series that launched so many careers.

Neal Romanek

I'm so psyched about Dexter!

Logan Kerlee

I was just thinking about Dexter...

PIG

You’ve probably heard this already, but brace yourselves. Raging Bull is brutal.

Brad Hampton

Taxi Driver, indeed.

Sean McDonough

"Taxi Driver" is a must under ANY circumstance.

Mark Kelso

I haven't seen raging bull in a few years keen to rewatch it. If you enjoy it Taxi Driver is a must.

I’ll be the first to respectfully disagree with you in regards to Ghostbusters (2016). At best, it’s on par with mediocre SNL skits, in my opinion, and not worth your time. Not when there are so many much better films out there you could be watching instead. I honestly wish that wasn’t the case, it’s really unfortunate. The 2016 movie has a great cast and writer/director. I generally like their stuff, so them doing a new Ghostbusters should’ve been right up my alley. It just isn’t very good though.

Nick of Time

Looking forward to Raging Bull. Always up for Scorsese. Let's see some more Al Pacino soon too!

Mike Tocci

I mentioned this in the comments of Ghostbusters, and I expect a couple people will disagree with me here too, but I hope you finish the Ghostbusters run not just with Afterlife sometime in the future, but also with Ghostbusters (2016). It's not as good as the original, but I think it's a fun and funny movie, and as a lifelong fan of the series, I think it's worth giving it a shot. (There are pluses and minuses of both, but I recommend the Extended Cut.)

Tyler Foster

Raging Bull is top 3 Scorsese imo.

Arya Amirsoleimani

A few short, single-season television series recommendations that I’m sure you’d both enjoy: “Squid Game” “Love, Death & Robots” “Freaks & Geeks” “Firefly”, and its film conclusion “Serenity”

Nick of Time

Ooooo! Excited for Ghostbusters 2 and Raging Bull!
